why are you using default ligh? just add light to your scene. I always start a scene with a sun if its exterior, or a rectangular light and several ies downlights if its interior.

Tapos..i try to put light problem if i do the whole house every time i move there are very dark shadows. with the default light.. everything is clear all same.. If i re install 3dsmax.. will the default light be there already?

You should try other stuff. Don't depend on this default light you're saying. You have to be a chameleon. Or you'll suffer whenever you lose this default light.

are you saying when you working on max it is dark? or in your render?

hmmm.. try this..

press F3, then on the upper left corner of screen (max), you can see "Smooth + Highlights", right click on it them go to "lighting and shadows", you can see there "Illuminate with Scene lights" and "Illuminate with default lights", select either one of them.. try it.. hope it helps...

I dont know if its a videocard issue. But if everything seems to go back to normal after activating default lighting, try to save a "maxstart.max" in the scene file after activating it.

This maxstart.max file will be the default max setting whenever you reset max or start a fresh scene.
