Alcantara Arena Redesign
Hi CGP masters!
I've been trying to experiment what effects I can still do to improve my visualization on projects so I practiced something new with my latest project. This stadium is a re-design of my old one but still shares some elements with it like the black facade, but the shape is entirely new. This time, instead of only two layers of Sketchup screen grabs, I added a Vray layer to add a bit of realism to the render. I then did some tinkering with PS and this is the result so far. Will update with more images as I finish the landscaping of the stadium grounds. Hope to hear some feedback so I can adjust and improve the project. Thanks!
Xray with shadows layer
Fill layer without edges layer
Vray layer with default settings
Put them all together now,
Test render with PS CS5

Re: Alcantara Arena Redesign
And here's a photorealistic Vray render with healthy doses of PS post-prod.

Re: Alcantara Arena Redesign
A quick render + PS prod job. I know I probably overdid the post prod and as a result the stadium is almost invisible. The stadium just underwent a bowl revamp and I might have to revise its facade to accomodate the new bowl. Will try to go the photorealistic route from that point on.

Hi sir benj.arki! Check this site: http://www.alexhogrefe.com/. That's where I got the technique for this, though I made additional changes to it for more realism. Will post more.

Re: Alcantara Arena Redesign
UPDATED:
I'm not content with the simplicity of structure in the old version and felt a lot of structural elements are missing, making the stadium unrealistic in real life. So I redesigned the stadium from scratch.
Standard V-ray Renders:
This is the new bowl design and roof. Still working on exteriors. And I've yet to add seats, or I probably won't. LOL
Kaya na po bahala masters. I need some suggestions and critiques too as I want to bring more realism to my work. Thanks for dropping by!

And a new render, this time emphasizing the curves of the stadium and its roof.
