Re: The White Cube
Nice rendering as always. San galing yung orange na light?
Also can you please tell me which of these you modeled, textured and made yourself? Aside from lighting and rendering and I think judging from your renders - you very good, what other areas did you work on?
The bitmaps used for the diffuse of that african something mask is way too low - IMHO. It is prominently pixelated and does not give justice to the sharpness of the rest of the elements.

Re: The White Cube
This is exactly the point of my gists as torvic says.
The look of the renders are slowly beginning to look - well, common standard.
So if it becomes a standard - what else is there to reach out for? The hints lies in what I already mentioned:
Mapping, textures and the realities of premade elements. One guideline I always keep in mind when preparing textures is this - Will my texture maps stand upo to my rendering size? Are my textures bigger than my rendering size? If the answer is no - somehow, somewhere sombody will point that out. And I really feel bad that I seem to be the one to do the pleasure of writing about "Minor" issues.

Thanks po sir V.Ano nga po pla real name nyo?hihihi.Naiilang po kse akong tawagin kayong SIr V parang ate V.hihihihi.joke lng sir.v_wrangler wrote:Nice rendering as always. San galing yung orange na light?

The furnitures sir are all pre modeled.Modeled ko lng po yung architectural features and most of the display(vases and like yung sa last image) carpet. Yun lng sir salamat po ulit for dropping by and sa comments..

You can call me Roy, minus the sirs, thats for royalty.
I hope you understand that I am not trying to diss your efforts or impose the idea that - "ay di naman sya nagmodel nun eh" line of thinking - Actually, I don't have much to say anymore about the quality of your renders because they are of course very good already!
I mentioned the modeling and the texturing part to give you inspiration. You've passed the rendering part already kahit na baliktad yung sequence (usually in my experience - we all start from modeling>texturing>animation then lighting and rendering)
So perhaps in the future - you could spare the same energies you had with rendering convincing images in working out your own models and textures. I know its not the fun part and we have deadlines to keep - but thats the true essence of the 3d artist. Somebody else who render better than us will come and one way to leave a legacy and be strong is to have mulitple disciplines up your sleave. I find it funny saying this to a professional like you. But perhaps its my observation that people seem to think "With VRAY, will render" kind of stuff. When the time comes when somebody else start rendering like you do - keep your head up high and busy yourself with modeling or teturing and I am sure that they will never be able to catch up.
Forgive the long talk - Inspiration to move up - is what we all need!.
Very good renders and I mean it from the bottom of my heart. Now I look forward to seeing you model..
As for the mask textures - I still think that they are too lores - dof'd or not. I'll probably edit that in photoshop or put it somewhere not too close to the camera.

Re: The White Cube

Yes kuya Roy I understand and thankful po sa time you have given me for those challenging words from experienced guy like you.As i mentioned before sa mga reply ko po sa inyo,I am really trying hard to develop my modeling skills. As my time po kse na I learned 3D max a year and half ago, namulat po ako na madami ng available pre modeled na furnitures thats why I started to develop my 3d skills sa rendering and lighting.Just give me some time sir.Im really working out.Ayaw ko namn po kseng madaliin ang learning ko sa modeling.I want to take a look sa deeper style and procedure para mas madali na pagdating ng araw.I have a lot of disappointment sa mga results ng mga model.Kaya still searching for all the available tutorials and playing my DVDs of Technical Modeling from Cgacademy almost everynight pero still having hard time na sabayan yung tutorials.I want to learn kse the proper way and technique to attack the model.
I hope to still hear a lot from you sa mga next post ko.
Thanks po ulit/..
