Material Problems in Max2011... help.

Good day, Im using 3dMaxDesign2009 and 3dMaxDesign2011 and I prefer to use the 2011 version because of easy visualization of outcome eventhough you still have not rendered fully and more faster than Max2009. But my problem is this, the some materials of my archmodels is missing and if I render it in 2009 everything is ok. I tried to link the folders where the materials are located but it always prompt "Number of paths limited to 1024", I just entered it to continue but still material is missing...
Sa mga masters ng max2011 dyan pa help naman para sa mga iba ring may ganitong issue. Thanks!

Hi Sir! Na try mo na ba ilagay lahat ng file mo into 1 folder ,otherwise eyedropper mo na lang then import ulit.

Sir kindly specify kung anong OS gamit mo 32bit ba or 64bit? at anong version din ng max 32 or 64.

Regarding sa problem mo, max cannot handle more than 1024 paths meaning included na yung directories dun, and do be carefull in adding paths more than that kasi mag crash minsan ang max mo, better put it on a single folder at hindi naka sub folder. remember even though na naka categorize sya sa isang path lang pag marami folders mo nag add up yan sa paths mo.

thanks sa reply mga masters, bale 64bit po gamit kong Max2009 at Max2011 sa Win7 64bit na OS. Ni render ko ung archmodel sa Max2009 and everything is ok.. but in Max2011, materials is missing. I still have to try to put them in one folder to see if its working but it takes time... siguro pagtyagaan ko nalang tong Max2009...

try mo gumamit ng resource collector para malagay lahat sa isang folder

baka naman naka subfolder iyong ibang material....try to tick "ADD SUBPATH" when linking the folders

to quicksilver: sir paano po ang paggamit ng resource collector?
to render master: nakaclick po ung mga subfolder, but after clicking a messege will appear "Number of paths limited to 1024". I just click ok. Pero wala parin. (This only happens in Max2011, but in Max2009 everything is ok.)Thanks sa reply.

ito sir medyo magulo lang ata,
1. go to utilities
2. click more
3. choose resource collector
4. then press ok
5. browse where to save the file
6. check the resource options
7. copy
8. begin

then open mo na ang file na nacopy, try mo sir baka makatulong

To quicksilver: salamat sir sa solution mo... EPEKTIB! another solution is delete all the paths and repath lang pala... napuno lang ata ung list kasi 1024 lang ang limited na number ng paths... Thanks sa lahat!
