Juan Two-Storey Modern Residence
First topic message reminder :
Good day again ka Cgp, i just want to share again my latest project done in Max9 and PS. This is a renovation and extension kasi existing na yung ground floor, yung previous plan gawa ng foreman, based from their lot title, may 1.5 meters setback pa sila sa right side, so here's my owners approved design and rendering output, C and C's are welcome for more improvement, thanks for being a member sa site na ito, marami ako natutunan at matututunan pa!
Here's the existing house.

Re: Juan Two-Storey Modern Residence
Yeah, about the design, you have a point sir, i respect that. I'll get out and can get out of the box and apply an international concept anytime i want, but at the right place and at the right time! You have and achieved an international concept, but you did not satisfy your client, its useless, maski ilang global at international concept ang gagawin mo! Kanya-kanyang diskarte lang yan sir. I know other members working globally and i have no problem about it, they can crit my work at no limit they want like you. In designing, be Global?, para sa akin hindi naman lahat ng oras, sana may karugtong pa sir para mas lalong convincing, kasi for me hindi ata bagay ipatayo ang design na may global at international concept sa local barrio namin. General kasi yung comment mo sir, sana man lang, may "for me", "para sa akin" or "imho", no offense din pero mahirap kasi ang nagmamarunong lalo na kung hindi nabibigyan ng liwanag ang lahat ng sinasabi, i mean site an example, a link or a case na tama ka nga or simply a suggestions like sir bokkins, simpleng simple, kumbaga sa kaso dapat may ebidensiya tama po ba? Anyway thanks for your comment sir 3dpinoy, i respect your opinion but respect mine also.3dpinoy wrote:credit you on your rendering but design wise, this is a play of thick, thin, vertical, horizontal lines, and the mix of materials doesn't give justice on the structure.
no offense but it doesn't only look bulky but messy.
as bokkins commented, minimal lines will make your design more pleasing and minimal use of materials will be more appropriate.
this look like a typical architecture design of a typical architect in the Philippines, what i intend to say is get out of the box and look for international concepts.
remember that members here are not just locally working in Philippines but globally inclined in different conceptual designs and you have international viewers around.
in designing, be Global my friend, trust me it doesn't hurt.
just my singkwenta sentimos.
OT: Sir are you the administrator of 3dpinoy?, just wondering sa mga nakalagay sa baba ng mga comments mo, so anong masasabi mo sa mga members, mods at admin na 5 stars dito?, thanks sir i'll wait for your reply, excited na ako.

Re: Juan Two-Storey Modern Residence
no worries my friend , i too respect your design, just some inputs on my point of view.i am here to help you and maybe enlighten you about whats happening here in my cave.what i learned and what i see.
clients don't see much as we see in terms of design.
just pick up this kind of discussions and keep what you learn and
seal the ones that doesn't.
O.T. nop, i am not an admin of any forums.

Re: Juan Two-Storey Modern Residence
The case is we have a different cave sir, my point is the mixing of different design identity to a certain place, para kasing magiging out of place siya, but anyway, thanks for being there to help, i'll expect more. Don't ask for an apology sir, hinay-hinay lang po kasi tayo. Thanks for some of your inpirational thoughts/words and thanks for the links, malaking tulong po ito.3dpinoy wrote:no worries my friend , i too respect your design, just some inputs on my point of view.i am here to help you and maybe enlighten you about whats happening here in my cave.what i learned and what i see.
clients don't see much as we see in terms of design,
so whatever we show them, black and white or colored they just put the plug-ins but we still decide what we do.
remember we still do the design, we tell them and not them to tell us unless you practice this manner.
designs doesn't fit any race or any place, mapa barrio man or siyudad.
it's either your client is a filipino or a foreigner.
apologies if i am pushing you too much, nasanay lang siguro mata ko
sa simplicity ng designs dito.
i dont have the position to push you but expect this kind of discussions
if we are dealing with designs.
remember that we are not just pressing F9 on max rather we are learning what we are modelling and rendering.
its just the beginning somehow, and its journey for you.
just pick up this kind of discussions and keep what you learn and
seal the ones that doesn't.
here are some links, local architects here in Singapore with different race of clients that i consider good ones.
this might help you.

O.T. nop, i am not an admin of any forums. just what you said, my signature is my opinion, i am no sarcastic and i don't praise and kneel on people. i admire works and be inspired by guys here in CGP( the good one's ha) but calling them master sardines is bit offensive to me.my yaya used that kasi when she cooks for us.
Mods and Admin doesn't give attention to this stuffs, masyadong mababaw ang ganitong issues. This guys are Globally professional.
i will be watching.
OT: Thanks for the replies, about calling somebody a master, ibang usapan naman kasi yan, huwag mo kasing isama yung "sardines", he he. May topic tayo related diyan sir, pwede ka ring mag share ng iyong ipinyon, here's the link, page 14 http://www.cgpinoy.org/tambayan-f7/how-to-criticize-a-work-a-small-discussion-t11039-195.htm

Re: Juan Two-Storey Modern Residence
Bokkins:
I think there's too much elements in a small composition. too much horizontal lines and crowns, hence, making the whole thing bulky for a small volume.
Just the combination of white+stone+glass will already make a very good impact by themselves. I know the intention is making the most out of it. Pero ang naging output (but this is only my opinion) ay naging a little overdone.
ang masusuggest ko lang is tone it down a little. Use finer lines since maliit lang ang bahay. Kung baga strip it down to a minimum. It's also good to check similar style on the net. Here are some of my favorite sites. I get my inspirations here:
3dPinoy:
credit you on your rendering but design wise, this is a play of thick, thin, vertical, horizontal lines, and the mix of materials doesn't give justice on the structure.
no offense but it doesn't only look bulky but messy.
as bokkins commented, minimal lines will make your design more pleasing and minimal use of materials will be more appropriate.

just my singkwenta sentimos.
Those r' the essence!
I don't see any Filipinism regarding the design. I lived in Manila for 14 yrs. So I should know. Don't be too pitty, for all we know crits like this gives benefit for the newbies. Or unless otherwise you consider yourself as one of the masters.

Mr. Critto' wrote:I think the column extended above the entry canopy makes no sense. Too much use of elements that is again makes the totality of design non sense. The house in your foreground, is it your design? For me its much better!! Are you aware of the budget of the client? If they have, then do you think you gave them justice with your design? Please don't be offended my friend, rather take this as a constructive critic.

Ok copy, but give me justice from your comment also, where's the foreground houses from these images?

Oh sorry, I misworded that. My deep apology. I mean background. And thanks for correcting a word, which is supossed to be understandable in a simple sense. But I admit that for us technical people should be sensitive even in a single word.
