Why do you like sketchup?

First topic message reminder :

Perhaps let us discuss why do you like sketchup as alternative modelling of 3d viz.

I will go ahead.

1. I like the push pull tool in sketchup. this is really a timesaver in modelling. At first i misinterpreted this software, that it could not handle accuracy. but after knowing the basic, i was addcited with it and gave up modelling my 3D in Cad.

2. I like the follow me tool... select a profile and choose a face or line/lines... the profile will follow the it.

3. I like texturing. beleive me texturing in sketchup is an ease.

4. I like photomatch. just give me a blueprint and i can model it quickly using photomatch.

5. I like the styles.. very architectural and conceptual

of course there are still some cons like handling polygons, but with good awareness in using layers. workflow can still be expidited

san po ba ako mkkhanap ng link para makapgdownload ako ng SKETCHUP PRO 7?? iba pa po ba yun s goole version nia?

i use google sketchup since kelan ku plan nlaman ang tungkol s sketchup..basically CAD an tinuro smen s skul mga yr 2005 ata yun ?(2002ver.) @@ pero nun natutunan ku yun about sketchup mejo natuwa ako kxe maganda xia gmitin for 3d modeling/presentation..mabilis mu mkikita yun kinupceptualized mung idea plus meron xiang madameng styles para maging unique yun gawa mu..at maganda xia for beginners kxe simple at madali lan yun princple nia (push/pull)..pero habang tumatagal mpapansin kung mejo limited yun pede mgawa s google SU..kea gusto ko sna msubukan yun pro.

at sna matulungan po ninyo ako mga master na mging ksing husay ninyo balang araw

fan din ako ng sketchUp.. kaso nahihirapan parin ako sketchUp, minsan ng momodel ako sa Max tapos import to sketchUp..

i love SketchUp as the way that SketchUp should be.. the sketch-look of it is its main strength..
lalo na pag meron kang client na architect, mas prefer nila ang sketchUp, pen & ink with a gradient background.. kasi mas lumilitaw on blueprints...

Its the most easiest and yet powerful 3d modeling software ever been developed!

su is now part of the architectural curricullum in most university in the US and UK

im a beginner sa SU, neto ko lang natutunan ung mga plugins sa SU like podium, renditioner and vray..

maganda ung video, anu anu bang plugin ung gnamit dun? i need to learn more here.. naadik na ko sa SU..

i studied viz dati, but didnt get to practice it.. mas simple talga SU compared sa ibang softwares kasi sobrang complicated. ok to sa mga beginners katulad ko.. pero sana matuto din ako ng max..

i hope madami pa ko matutunan katulad nung mga nasa video

one of the best 3d prog...naalala ko ito nakita ko sa magazine lang last 4 years ago then download the trial version. last software pa ata yung owner nun before nabili ng google...within 4 days of trial and error nakuha ko na yung idea. very limited sya in terms of geometry pero the best in speed. la atang makakapag beat-up sa bilis ng modelling nito. dati la pa ding vray nun sa SU kaya export sa max ang ginagawa ko......mastering this prog and learning the other 3d application will give you the edge in 3d world!!!!!SU RoCKs!!!

if you are aiming for architectural concept, madaling visualization, mga conceptual works.. talagang dapat Sketchup ang gamitin mo. In UK, US, Australia at mga European countries.. kapag architectural ang pinaguusapan siguradong nanjan ang sketchup. yung mga architectural university sa UK especially kasma na yung sketchup sa mga curricullum. kaming mga international school pattern after UK curicullum, parte narin ng aming Deisgn technology ang pagintroduce ng SKetchup. Literary Grade 8 has now Introducing to sketchup. I was actually surprise.

SU is always a good software sa pagiintroduce ng 3d visualisation...

pero syempre as you go deeper, you want to do more than architectural vizualization, you want o achieve more stuff, using high poly models, multi poly trees etc. and we could see that SU is not for this. therefore people are looking for other engines like max or rhino.

but this is the fact. if you are working with architects. they always want to know how the concept looks like, they dont really care how beautiful your rendering is. so this is where i like sketchup.

Sketchup Rocks!, Simple lang.

you can download the google skechup 7 Pro version. google sketchup.. i google mo nalang. ngayon ito ay workable within 8 hours. arfter 8 hours wla kang valid serial then it will become like google sketchup free.

so you want to apply in Uk or other European countries.. a lot of firms prefer sketchup users.. I was talking with a lot of friends and they confirmed it. there it is a must to model in sketchup kasi ang presentation ngayon ng architectural concept ay halos SU na... presentation now is also letting the client navigate the 3d with themselves. Lalo na daw ngayon na iintrodue na yung mga touch screen.. so the more na compatibel yung pag explore ng Sketchup models sa mga cliente....

I like and i love SKETCHUP kc dito nakasalalay ang trabaho ko..

You cannot deny the fact that sketchup is free for all 3d modeling software. Ease of use, especially in conceptualization. For beginners like me, this is like a gift from heavens, and an answers to my problems. lol, go sketchup!

indeed... malaking tulong talaga lalo na sa mga estudyante pa.

I like Sketchup because of the presence of these tools:
1. the divide tool
2. the array tool
3. the follow me tool

Quite very powerful set of tools for me.

the one i like most on sketchup..hmmm

speed modeling.. you can play with it along with the boss/client while giving instruction based on their concept

what you see is what you get..you can visualize your model on the fly, so thats is why you called sketchup..hehe

meron lang limitation ang sketchup..pero marami na rin lumalabas na ruby tools out there to make your life simplier and the good thing is..its free, though meron din paid tools which is more capable on organic modelling.

mga master mgandang news po yan sa mga SU user na katulad ko kasi sa SU po ako nagmomodel,so ask ko lang po kung may alam po kayong website or link na pweden ma aplayan sa europe.

best reason...SPEED. Napalitan ng SU ang pag sketch natin sa tissue paper or scratch paper. i use it for massing and proportion, removing a lot of guesswork. Even clients appreciate SU because they can navigate and understand the concept better. Then we can change design on the fly if necessary. Hindi na rin ako nahihirapan mag explain ng design sa designers ko..before panay kwento and sketch which usually gets lost in translation. All equates to faster results.
