Amateur User Queries

Good day to all,

I have some queries regarding the following: I hope you could help me guys on this I'm a amateur user of 3dmax+vrays.

1. If i use the material editor and place on the render scene the said materials when placed you could see the materials in a segmental form which supposed to be as a whole in a particular finishes? Any advice regarding the settings in the material editor?
2. I have some "evermotion archmodels" do you have any idea how to use this?
3. Someone gave me a Low poly Cars (max file) and when I open it to max and hit the render its okay with a material on it, but when i try to export/import it to another render scene the material finishes are gone?Any idea what to do for this matter?
4. Vray proxies are great tutorial in this site and I hope someone can post an example using cars.
5. Any idea why is my shadows are not that sharp or clear on the render scene.

Welcome to CGP.

I can't give you everything here but I will refer you to some articles and hints for you to read and be able to understand the subject fully.

1. Read on UVW mapping (Can be found using google or the max help files "press F1")
2. Use Merge (press F1 on max for details)
3. Asset Tracking (press F1 for on max details)
4. Trees or cars, its all the same with vray proxy (check our tutorial here)
5. Use Vray Shadow if you are using directional light.
