need tutorial for this dining table.

can somebody help me I need to model the base but i have no idea how does it work in 3d max.

1.create plane and create line for the guide line.
2.move vertex follow guide line.(by ffd box or move vertex)
3.put shell for thickness.
4.choose edge and extrude edge.

sir, book nakuha ko na. pero yung last 1 yung imomove mo yung vertices, whenever i press 1, wala pong nangyayari.

click mo muna ang object na may modifier, then press 1. Same lang yan kung iclick mo ang mga small vertices na button sa modifier. saka mo iselect ang mga vertices and drag to left or right.

 
ito naman yung version ko array at mirror ang ginamit ko...
pasensya na di ko pa nagagawa yung step by step nito...
