regarding po sa image na nasa taas i am currently using max 2010 and im having problem with mapping.
anyone who can help kung pano po gawin sa max 2010 yung gaya nung 2nd image without using uvw mapping kasi po dati im using max 2009 pero automatic uv mapping na po sya.

hmmm! mukhang mahirap yan ah! kasi halos lahat naman gumagamit ng UVW map dito pang adjust sa tiling bro. unless kung iti3d mo yung object pwede kang di gumamit nun

bro mag mapscale kana lang hindi kana gagamit ng uvw mapping. click mo nalang yung modify tapos modifier list makikita mo don yun g mapscaler hope naka tulong sayo

You can also adjust the tiling via the coordinates of the textures in the material editor. It defaults to 1 at both, U, V and W coordinates. A value of 2 means a tiling of 2 repititions.

mga sir ganun po ba talaga sa max 2010? ung default settings po ng mapping nya ay hindi katulad ng sa previous versions?

Naka check yung use real world scale sa material editor, para makuha mo yung gusto mong mangyari.

Actually i don;t check this item, kasi, mas controllable yung repetition ng textures via the UVW map modifier. I suggest mag test ka gamit yung UVW map modifier sa isang simple box. You can scale the gizmo itself with the scale tool. That way you can control your bitmaps size or appearance on the object/mesh according to your preference.

Hindi maganda yung output or tamad kang pag aralan yung functions niya? Now follow what i suggested above, kelangan mag experiment ka muna sa isang very simple object para makuha mo ang gamit ng isang tool na balak mong gamitin. UVW mapping is the most useful tool in aligning your textures in max. After you master that, well, you can then try out the unwrap UVW tool, na medyo mas komplikado na.

Yup check mo lang ang real world mapping sa uvw modifier. magiging 1, 1, 1 ang mapping.

Pero mas maganda pa din kung UVW map mo according sa bitmap mo.
