My VFSU problems

Hi everyone!

For several weeks i have been trying to cope with VRAY for Sketchup. I still have some problems i can't solve alone.

1. the edges. Why the smooth and soften option isn't working for vray? My example:

The mirror surface of iPod dosen't seem to be continious. Is it possible to make it look more like real one, without changing the geometry?

2.DOF. Why can't i change the Aperture? Is it possible to make strong DOF in effect other way?

3. How can i control displacement map when i'm using color instead of bitmap as diffuse?

4. Is 3ds Max taking bigger amount of RAM memory than Sketchup? I have 4gb RAM, 2,7 GHz dual core, 512mb GPU, windows 7 x64, and when the model is complicated i have serious lags. If i clock over my CPU (intel e8200 box) to 4Ghz will i have faster renders ?
