hello po. i'm 5th yr architectural student. Im doing a library museum for my thesis my project is more on sa green design.

gusto ko lang po magask ng advice kung pano nging successful ung paggawa niyo ng thesis niyo? guidelines po kung expert po kayo sa library or museum.. share nio nren po.. ano po ung mga batayan nio? mga gnun po.. ahaha

For me, para maging successful thesis mo, you should know your project very well.

1. SITE SELECTION - for me, your site will be as important as your structure, walang kuwenta ang magandang structure kung pangit ang location ng site. Hanap ka ng site na easily accessible by public and private transportation with less traffic and malapit sa mga schools since library and museum thesis mo.

2. RESEARCH - The best kind of research is, punta ka mismo sa mga big libraries at big museums dito sa manila. Then ask kung pano nag ooperate yung place. You can also ask them kung anong area dapat magkakatabi. From there kasi, hindi ka na mahihirapan sa pag gawa ng floor plan. Itanong mo rin kung ano ano mga offices nila and number of staff nila per office para may idea ka naman on how big your areas or offices will be.

This is my suggestion. Magresearch ka muna kung paano maresearch. Show us your plans or strategies. Don't just ask how we did it. It won't help. Magiging dependent ka lang sa mga references mo. Ask us kung tama ba ang ginawa mo. So dapat meron ka munang ipapakita. That's how a consultation is done. Hindi yung aalamin mo muna from us kung paano gawin. I hope naintindihan mo.

Ano ba ang balak mong gawin? Pano mo maincorporate ang green design sa library? Bakit Library at museum in one ang gusto mong gawin? Iba ang crowd ng library, iba din ang crowd ng museum. Not unless archive ito, pag archive kasi, may hawig sa museum.

Research on that first. Tapos kung paano mo magawan ng green design. Also take note that plants need alot of water, so mataas ang moist nito. Bawal sa museum ang moisture at bawal din sa library. Kasi pag may moisture, mabubulok ang mga collection.

Ano ang relevances nito sa kasalukuyang panahon? Ano ang benefit na makukuha ng tao? Magkano ang gagastusin? Sino ang magfund nito? Private ba to or Public?

my thesis before was the re-birth of the national library sa luneta. what i did first is research and understand the current situation of the existing structure pati na rin ung history ng site this;play a big role sa magiging selection mo ng site dito papasok ung importance ng structure mo sa lugar na na pili mo just like nung skin if you are familiar sa national library. malapit sya mga school un ung tinatawag na proximity sa theory tapos aralin mo din maigi kung kailangan ba sya i construct i did survey sa mga students na malapit sa site ko like PLM, MIT ,ADU etc. i asked them is there a need for the library to be reconstruct or renovate. just like master bokkins said, moisture eh malaking factor sa proposal mo na more on green design thou may mga treatment din when it comes to this kind of problem. o bka mala mmda na green lang ang thesis mo green na paint kidding aside hehe! gagawin mo bang profitable ang proposal mo o govt. facility sya? madalas kasi this kind of edifice are govt. funded proj. when it comes to planing madami kang pwedeng kuhanan ng idea sa pro iba prin xmpre ung sarili mong tirada diba?! i remember may gantong structure sa singapore if im not mistaken.its a high rise library alam ko ginawa kong ref. un sa thesis ko eh. d naman ako magaling na student noon kung may chance ngang balikan ung thesis ko. with the aid of rendering and modeling software mas maayos sana siguro ung thesis ko hehe buti nlng nga mga tropa kong prof ung mga jury ko hehe.but still i did study my proposal very well one more thing kung sa pagiging feasible ng structure at functional niya also try researching the C.L.U.P of your chosen city kung san mo tatayo ung proposal mo dun pa lang marami ka ng mailalagay sa book mo. on my part this my way to atleast enlighten you kung pano ka magsisimula.good luck nlng PM ka na lang kung may questions ka pa skin dre tutal medyo parehas ung gagawin mo sa pinag daanan ko
