medyo OT na to Smile anyway .. Design and MAX are almost the same ang pinag iba lng nila is yung MAX meron SDK (Software Development Kit) for developers po to at mga Game Programmers .. ang Design naman po meron syang Lighting Analysis .. in both softwares almost the same lang .. if you're an architect, engineer.. designer Interior ... etc. go for max design.. kung mahilig ka naman sa mga 3D animation especially character game developer .. motion graphics .. go for 3dsmax .. which of course sa dalawa pwede mo rin gamitin the only lacking is ang SDK at ang Lighting Analysis .. for further info go to autodesk.com hope naka help.. Smile
