How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
First topic message reminder :
STEP 1: TEST RENDER > SAVE(light cache, irradiance map)
STEP 2: LOAD SAVED(light cache, irradiance map) > FINAL RENDER
ganito po yung procedure
after natin ma-set yung desired lighting, ambiance, environment sa scene natin tapos ready na tayo magpa-final output.
STEP 1: TEST RENDER
set natin yung vray sa pinaka simple settings like, image sampling(anti aliasing)
image sampler: FIXED
anti aliasing filter: OFF
tapos sa irradiance map ang light cache
1. current preset > very low
STEP 2: LOAD SAVED(light cache, irradiance map)
once natapos yung rendering ese-save na natin yung mga light cache and irradiance map.
irradiance map
1. click "save to file". the file should be .vrmap
2. change "single frame" to "from file"
3. "browse" the .vrmap you have created
samething with light cache
1. click "save to file". the file should be .vrlmap
2. change "single frame" to "from file"
3. "browse" the .vrlmap you have created

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
sir saving irradiance and light cache has nothing to do with the quality of rendering with your draft and final render. it is a pre calculated para sa dalawa. so kung ginamit mo yung procedure na ito then hindi mo naman tanaas yung mga value ng settings mo for final render, im sure shot pareho ng quality yang draft mo saka final render mo but atleast mabilis sya.westcoastwindblow wrote:ok sana pero parang parehas yung outcome sa draft at final render.,

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
does it wont have a problem if i save IR & LC maps in a very low settings and a very low resolution
then i render final in a very high settings in IR & LC and a high resolution?
iba kase procedure ko... im saving IR & LC maps on a high settings already... but low res

parang baligtad ata ginawa nyo sir reggie. kasi mawawalan din ng sense yung pag save mo ng IR and LC since low res lang naman ang rerender nyo. we are doing this kasi nga to get the pre calculated maps using the low settings then saka nating ea-apply sa high settings di ba? para di na eca-calculate ng vray yung IR and LC maps. so mas magha-half yung rendering time nya sa high res mong render. kung low res lang din naman ang render mo kahit di mo na rin e save yung IR and LC.

well for instance.. magsasave ako IR & LC then check ko ung dont render final... in a resolution na 200x150.. and very low sa current preset sa IR and 200 subdv lng sa LC
then pag nka produce na ng file.. il render it for final in 4000x3000... then very high sa current preset ng IR and 1500 subdv sa LC...
will the final render will just be good?
ung ginagwa ko kse ever since.. is high na settings from saving the IR & LC file hanggang magfinal render ako... diff lng is ung reso.. maliit pag nag precalc ako tpos ska malaki sa final... cencya na hirap mag explain sa text..

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
dude, eto mga test renders ko,
1. sinundan ko yung procedure mo, with lights on and naka uncheck yung hidden lights
2. my normal setup, hindi ko sinave IR and LC ko pero yung lights naka off with g.i. and naka check yung hidden lights.
ano kaya mali?,,bakit hindi ko ma achieve yung katulad nung 2nd image ko when i save my IR and LC

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
whey, di pa rin ako sure sa solution sa problem mo pero ang nakikita kong possible reason is mali yung nalagay mong save maps ng IR saka LC baka sa ibang files silang maps. nerender ko sya without touching anything from the setting na meron ka ng vray since pareho tayo ng version ng vray kaya wala akong problema nung inopen ko sa akin. normal lahat same ng 2nd image mo na na post mo.
1st render. wala akong ginalaw sa setting,
2nd render, try kong e-set yung IR saka LC maps "to file" pero missing yung maps nila

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
sir f-fortyone, ask kolang po. pwedi po bang kahit hindi parehas yung resolution ng first render (for saving LC and IM) at yung final render? example 600X300 for first render and 2000x1000 for final render. salamat po.

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
thanks for that quick reply. other question po. kung sa irradiance map po sinet nyo to very low then save, di po ba yung prepass ng very low 2 times lang. kapag sa final render po, yun po bang prepass ng very low ng IRmap na niload nyo ang magagamit? kasi po sa final render ko, madalas po kasi medium na may 3 prepass or high na may 4 prepass po yung IRmap ang ginagamit ko. pesensya napo at marami akong tanong. sarap po kasing matutu. salamat po.f-fortyone wrote:

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map

Re: How to save V-ray light cache and irradiance map
