adjustments > desaturate.

or

filters > render > find edges (after ng desaturate)

CTRL + SHIFT + U

parang mali ata ako...try mo lang ito...di ko maalala kung merge ba itong shortcut na ito or desaturate.....inaantok pa ako.......

use masking and gradient if you want to get that effect. medyo nakakapagod nga lang kasi madami yan.

ay mukha nga palang gradient fill un hindi nadesaturate. nice one sir boks.

sir applying desaturate won't get the result you wanted..it will simply turn that raw image to black and white, which is very different from the result that you are aiming

i did this process to get as close as possible to the second image...
desaturate > brightness & contrast >


then select each strands using marquee tool then apply surface blur
(just play with the settings until you get your desired look )

sana makatulong intay pa tayo sa mga master if there's a faster way to do it

iba ang black and white na sinasabi mo sa picture na pinakita mo e.. puro gradient na yan .. pag ginawa mong black and white yun wood photo .. the result would be different from the one you posted

Image>Adjustments>Black and White or Alt+Shift+Ctrl+B

based on your samples di to uubra sa normal desaturate lang. u need to do this manually.

@ sir fpj999, sinubukan ko yung trick nyo at yun ang pinaka-malapit na resulta, salamat po.

may ini-expiriment lang po ako.

then.. follow what mushroom said .. you really need to do this manually.. isa isa .. depende sa image mo ..

pag ako gumagawa ng ganyang map sa MAX ko muna yan ginagawa tpos Zdept lang tpos pasok sa PS para kongting adjustment.. hope this help..

Sir sa binigay mong picture parang d naman black and white yan sir e .. z-depth po yan para sa camera .. meron pong software na naggagawa ng ganyan try mo ang pixplant ..

eto po yung eni-expiriment ko, nakita ko yung resulta nya

2. eto naman ginamitan ko ng displacement na ginawa rin sa PS with disaturate at etc. mapapansin natin na yung dsplacement nya sira-sira this is because the map is not clean pure white and black.


3. eto naman ay ang pure black and white yung image na paran z-depth na displacement, yung effect nya ay mas clean and clear.


at nagtest rin ako ng ibang image na ginawang kong grey scale sa PS at yung nakita ko ay yung pure black na part ay hindi mag-didisplacement at yung light or medyo black ay yun ang magkakaroon ng displacement. so sinubukan ko to sa isang roof tile, ganun ang naging resulta kaso, hindi masyadong clean kasi di tulad kasi ng image na parang z-depth,
and now sinubukan ko yung advice ni sir jefferson, so I model it and use the use z-depth pass, so eto since di ako marunong sa max magmodel sa cad nalang,

at pagdating sa max, yung camera from top pointing to bottom, then render with z-depth, yung z-depth nya ay ginamit ko as displacement here is the z-depth pass (by the way nahirapan ako sa zdpth di ko kasi alam yong tamang settings kaya pagpagsensyahan nyo na po)

at eto yung resulta nya

kung simpling grey scale lang di ko nakukuha yung ganitong resulta.

@ sir edosayla, yung pixplant sinubukan ko po yung (trial version) ganda po nya kaso po wala po akong makita na pwedi syang maggenerate ng parang z-depth straight from the image, pero ok siya kasi automatic may specular, normal etc na yung image mo, kaso yung trial may logo nila kaya di ko ring magagamit. salamat po sir ed sa info ng pixplant.

nice... sabi ko sau ehh z-dept yan.... BTW san mo b ggmitin yan?... i suggest kung roof o grass lng mas ok n ang model kesa displace... mas matagal kc sa rendering yun and matakaw sa ram...
