kung ung 5D body= 3,500k singapore dollar
7D cguro mga = 4-5k

har har. bili ako nito tapos i papalaminate ko. hehehe

hmm dahil sa 7d, i was thinking of switching / trying canon. it seems that canon takes more natural colors esp. skin tones - me tendency na mgmukhang tocino ang pics ng tao sa nikon eh hehe..

problem is at that price point (S$3.5k) pwede na makakuha ng D700.. hehe..

if you are about to take a plunge in photography, it's a good model to start off with. get the latest model (with the latest features) that you can afford.

if you already own a DX crop body, you'll probably skip this one for your next upgrade should be a full frame body. as what mushroom pointed out is a bit ex or priced the same as the full frame D700. you are paying more for video function and a little bit more megapixels.

if you already own a full frame, you probably won't bother getting this.

agree. wonder what's the price diff bet the 7D and the 5D mark ii though.. hmm. the mark ii would be a better choice if uve got the budget for it.

In Japan, the 7D ranges from 130K JPY to 140K JPY for the body and about 170K JPY for the kit

5Ds a bit more pricey at JPY230K++ for the body alone and about JPY300K++ for the kit...

I was eyeing the 7D pag medyo bumaba na ang presyo....

I was actually considering the panasonic GH1 but after lots of comparison (my guys here use the GH1 and the 5D), I think I'd settle for the cheaper 7D. I am more concerned about the video capabilities than the stills. I find it difficult to lag my HD cam and the D40 at the same time and I thought I could hit two birds with the 7D.

But well, since its the recession - I'm still saving for the next buy.
