First topic message reminder :

.

February 19 2009

Command:EXTRIM

To see this command in action, draw a rectangle with LOTS of lines going through it. Then type EXTRIM and select the rectangle. You are then prompted to “specify the side to trim on: “. If you pick outside the box, it trims everything crossing the box around the outside and you are left with just the lines in the middle. If you select inside the box, it trims all the lines inside the rectangle and leaves the lines on the outside. Sounds a little confusing? Give it a try and it will make perfect sense.

Very cool!

thanks for this bro vamp...musta?

Stryker wrote:COMMAND: GATTE

THIS COMMAND IS VERY USEFUL IF YOU ARE WORKING WITH MULTIPLE LAYOUTS WITH ATTRIBUTE ON TITLE BLOCK OR ON DRAWING ITSELF.
Just type in the command promt GATTE, then select the attribute on the title block or on the drawing, then type in the new
[color=cyan]value of the attribute you want. and then look for the other layouts they were changed simultaneously in one command.

Very useful ito kung gumgawa kayo ng mga drawings n maraming layouts tapos may title block sya na naka attribute. hindi mo n
sya edit isa isa, GATTE mo lang s isang layout lahat sila magbabago na..

Hope this one helps

Use the MASSPROP command - it will list the properties of the selected 3D solid:

Mass
Volume
Bounding box
Centroid
Moments of inertia
Products of inertia
Radii of gyration
Principal moments and X-Y-Z directions about centroid

you have drawn a steel plate with lots of cutouts. to get the area of the steel:

A. Take the area of the steel and subtract the total area of the cutouts Shocked

or

B. HATCH the plate with your favorite hatch pattern on a non printable layer. LIST the hatch pattern and see the area. thumbsup

*Just make sure there are no dimensions or text in the way of the hatch pattern as the hatch will go around these objects.

When you insert an image, it has a frame around it so you can select it. When you go to plot your drawing, if you do not want to see the frame, simply type the command “IMAGEFRAME” to set its visibility as follows:

Setting 1 - Image frames are BOTH displayed and plotted (default).

Setting 2 - Image frames are displayed but NOT plotted

command: CHSPACE

Unreconciled Layer = Unreconciled layers are new layers that have been added to the drawing or to attached xrefs since the layer list was last evaluated. The layer list is checked for new layers when a command, such as PLOT is used. In new drawings, the layer baseline is created when the drawing is saved or plotted for the first time. When a new drawing is first saved, the layer baseline is created, and all layers present in the saved drawing are considered reconciled (not new). Layers that are added after a drawing is first saved are considered new unreconciled layers.

To get rid of these:
1. Unreconciled layers become reconciled by right-clicking the layer and clicking the Reconcile Layer option. Once a layer has become reconciled, it is removed from the Unreconciled New Layers filter. After all new layers are reconciled, the Unreconciled New Layers filter is removed.

2. If still confused with the method - type on the command : LAYEREVAL , then set the amount to 0, the message will not appear anymore.

3. other method that might help use AUDIT.

monetteski wrote:then pag preview ko po totally wala po nag aappear sa preview

Not sure hows your method with these one, there are a lot of things to consider why theres nothing on your preview window

4. one was about the layers, the printer icon might pressed on its layer, if that icon has a red check mark, that layer is not printable.

5. or the scale you use on printing, and more..... Very Happy

Para don sa password ng AutoCAD dwg... why not convert/plot the drawing file as pdf document (available from 2007 onwards using the 'dwg to pdf.pc3' printer option)...pwedeng i-view yung dwg pero di mae-edit...

Multiple printing- (open 1 file (ex: file x or yung file nyo mismo) then try to print your desired set up then saved)
1.File
2.Publish
3.Look for ADD Sheet (at the mid left side) Add ALL FILE you need including File X (but suggestion ko lang try 5 drawings muna but be sure na andun yung File x sa unahan sheet name )
4.Change page set up (desired set up ng printing chose yung set up ng file X)
5.pubish option – change the location of your desired folder
6 then ok
(pwede din to sa PDF file but be sure na ma set muna ang command: publishcollate to 0, para mag individual printing sya.
Hope it will help

sa folder na kinalalagyan ng drawing mo, right click mo ung icon tapos, properties, tapos change mo ung attribute to read-only
di na masasave un, kailangan mag save as another file name bago mo masave yun
