3ds max 2011

I am using 3dmax 2009 by modelling in sketch up and exporting to autocad drawing, and importing autocad drawing thru 3dmax (2009). When i started to use 3d max 2011, everything is colored black and shadows does not apply with lights...can somebody help me to correct the settings for this 3dmax 2011? and it can also import sketchup drawings but seems i need to adjust settings...

Are you using vray or mental ray?from 2009 to 2011...
