Autodesk 3ds Max 2011 has the following new and enhanced features:

• Ability to view many 3ds Max texture maps and materials in the viewport to help develop and refine scenes in a higher-fidelity interactive display environment — without the constant need to re-render

• Extended Graphite modeling and Viewport Canvas toolsets for 3D and 2D painting of textures directly in the viewport, along with the ability to paint with object brushes to help create geometry within a scene

• Ability to non-destructively layer local edits on top of referenced content, helping artists to collaborate more efficiently

• 3ds Max Composite, a full-featured, high dynamic range (HDR)–capable compositor, based on technology from Autodesk Toxik software

Hello po mga kapatid at master almost done na ang pag aaral ko ng 2011 ... so far the best max ever build ... ang tanong ko lng .. ready na po ba kayo at para sakin parang spoon feeding na ang max andyan na halos lahat na kailangan ... like sketchup native file can be open inside max, meron syan photoshop features maka gawa ka ng texture layered .. maka paint ka directly sa object no need to unwrap.. imagine that power .. tapos na test ko ang mentalray nya super fast at super ganda .. at isa pa ang CAT plugins nya super ganda gumawa ng character .. instant ,at isa pang features ang CRAFT studio camera na thirdparty andyan na din .. speaking of composite andyan na rin ... haayz ... dadaming magagandahan nito ... and finaly the best part the quicksilver renderer na amaze talaga ako ... malapit ko na e compile ang mga nagawa kung tutorial for 2011 .. hintay lng po ng kunti ...

ang image sa ilalim ay kasama sa mga files ng max 2011 .. na try ko render sa quicksilver sa HD resolution nya na 1120x640 it took me only 10mins considering the complexity of the scene.. tapos hardware ko AMD X2 1.6ghz , 2 GB ram, 32bit ang max for test purpose only ..

love it! galing nman 2011. max 9 nga di ko na-perfect. wow naman. galing talaga tol galing mo kahit di super computer ginamit, pero astig dating kahit medyo dim konti. di ko kaya un a. pero gusto ko pag aralan characters. nag-i-exterior ako dati di lang ako gamit vray kasi bagal pc ko. besides di ko kabisado vray.

Ayos 'to sir Eric. 10 minutesis very fast. Pero kung phase 1 pa lang ito, kailan at anong version ng 3dsmax lalabas ang last? Is it worth buying or upgrading to 2011 when it's only the first of three installments? Tanong lang po.

sir amazed naman ako sa 3dmax 2011.. takot pa ako mgshift sa max dahil sa kadahilanang mababa lang specs ng machine ko..pero nung nabasa ko itong thread nyo, sabi ko baka meron pa pagasa pc ko sa 3dmax 2011..

possible po ba master machine ko for 3dmax2011??

whew! ibang iba ka talaga master ed..

looks like those are nice features. But I am not shifting yet, due to client file compatibility. At ang mahal din bumili ng software, kakasimula ko lang sa max 2009 late last year eh, tapos heto na naman..maybe i'll stick with this for a few more years.

Anyway, i can model stuff with max's current toolset. But this is a nice upgrade.

Max2011 files have backwards compatibility with 2010. So ask your clients to move on to 2010 Ed

how about v-ray plug-ins? meron napo ba?

yes vray and vrayrt is on max2011 as well
