Room-study (familiar?)
A quick light test - was more studying settings in Vray.
Room is scratch built, rest are 'generic' models + textures.
Am open to any inquiry or crit as well on this. Thanks
(Image breakdown to follow soon, perhaps)

Re: Room-study (familiar?)
nice!
Medyo malakas lang yata yung DOF o malabo lang yata mata ko.
I would love to see a version where the lighting on the outside is much stronger than the interior..

Re: Room-study (familiar?)
well..neither....malabo yung monitor mo @.@
ok, seriously, i understand what u mean. the DOF (which was manually placed) was to just blur out those sucky texture/ models that i didnt bother to fix.
Yes indeed...by right in a non-artificially lit room like this, outside illumination would look washed out to get the effect of a bright illumination inside. This version had additional GI lighting to rather 'balance' exterior and interior levels of illumination without washing out much.
I will post the 'correct' version (real-world wannabe lighting) as requested soon.

Re: Room-study (familiar?)
I am loving the 2nd version sir....everything is crisp and clear, and physically correct, IMHO (specially in the lighting aspect), or it's just me, since, i am no expert in this field up to this point.
This scene can be a good way to study rendering some more...
If you don't mind, can i have a copy of the scene minus the lights, i'd love to tinker with it,, and figure out if i can churn out something similar to your output. Just a way to test myself..
Thanks a lot..

Re: Room-study (familiar?)
thanks prickly, I like the second image, the contrast in illumination gives it more of that fotographic look. But I am sure if this was a real project, clients could care less about my choice and they'd pick the first one.
