Masters, what is a good all around, walk around lens to replace 18-105mm? I have a nikon D90 body. 18-55mm, 24-70mm? Nikon definitely but how about Tamron or Sigma or other 3rd party?

for normal wide to tele, go for the 18-200mm VR (the optics of the 18-135mm and the 18-105mm are IMO quite dull. the 18-55mm VR is somewhat better)
for a fast walkaround go for a 24-70mm f2.8
for third party sigma is ok, i prefer tokina because the optics are almost the same as the nikkors.
