Vray for Sketchup Q&A

Q: My renders are a bit grainy. what am i doing wrong?

duon kasi sa bago hinid ka na maglilinked automatic na yun. so ang gagawin mo lang talga ay iaaply yung transparency map.

sir nomer mangungulit ako ulit,kung may particles ang max ano meron ang SU wala po ba?
-sir yong fog sa su di lumalabas sa render or pede mo sya mapalabas?

ren yan ay dahil sa mga wide areas ng samples ng Irriadiance...

instead use QMC smapler instead of Irridiance as primary render...
or use parin Irradiance but sdd some more rectangular lights (mahina lang ang multiplier sa ilalaim ng lights.. invisible sila dapat para magkaruon ng calculation sa area na yun...

walang particles ang Vray SU bro..
yung fog sa su lang yun.. hinid suportado ng vray SU yun...

mga master's bago lng po ako dito sa cg.. ask lng po ako pano mag lagay ng background su+ vray rendering..?? ty poh

dun sa VFB channels choose RGB color and Apha..,. save the render image as png file. tapos ilagay monalang ang background mo sa Photoshop.

sir, napagana ko na ung fake IES using version 1.49.84. na tweak lang ng tropa, we just ticked ung background under option rollout.

sir noms may tutorials ba kau para s grass????? pansin ko kc ngmumukang carpet ung grass ko..more power

I have my list of difficulties in Vray for sketchup for the Masters to scan . . I hope you can answer my questions and im looking forward to post my own renders.

1. How to turn multiple omni and rectangular lights into a single component for easy editing

2. How to manipulate the noise on Displacement options for me to choose the texture of an obejct (e.g. water, wood texture, frosted glass, etc.whats the difference in amplitude, size, etc.)

3. Whats the difference when using a Catmull room option, Area, etc

4. how can i create a glass etching using a jpeg file (e.g. i want an etch of a mermaid on my flush door with glass panel)

Thanks guys. i have an interior project in Brunei and i have to impress my client. looking forward to your sensible replies!

make a light component. edit component...inside the light component place the omni or rectangular light.

observe for yourself what happen... im not really playing these parameters much.. pag nagdidisplace ako im not using procedural map. instead i use bitmap. ASgvis developers provided those things there for users to play with them... so baka gusto mong pagluran and give us feedback

the problem ussually here is this. you applied a material, then you changed the material. so nahirapan ang vray na maghananp ng texture.. nasiraan ng bait.

seems to me you are using the old version na buggy sa texture lalo na papalit palit.

ang solution sa dat.. removed the face. add another texture with different name, then link the matiarials

solution if ever sa bagong versions at nabrokle yung link sa old material. relink the material that you are using in the material editor... hanapin mo kung saan. hinid ibig sabihin nakikita mo sa sketchup e nakalink naman sa vray.

there's another problem sir . . . i downloaded vismats that are compatible for vray for sketchup (since original vismats were created for vray for 3dsmax, if im right), but when i import those vismats, i t alwyas catches errors and it didnt load. . so i'm forced to use manual application of materials and effects for my object and it didnt help since using vismats can cut your work-rate duration, and its accuracy in terms of texture are preferable. .

save mo yung visopt mo bro. dun sa file... tapos reload mo nalang kung gusto mong gamitin uli yung setting nayun.

nope yung vismats ay either vray for rhino or vray sketchup lang hinid galing sa vraymax.

ano po yung visopt? where can i see it?

meron pa po akong q master, kasi po i just started to use sketchup7 and vray for sketchup 7, i cant edit materials, pag pinapalitan ko po yung color ng brick for example, hindi naiiba sa render, bnakit po ganon? thanks master
