Revisiting Escolta

First topic message reminder :

We're currently in production of a documentary on early philippine cinema. The whole film takes place at Manila, Escolta since it was there that the first film showing took place in the Philippines. We hope to finish the project before 2009 (hopefully by the end of November).

Anyway, here's a collection of works I'm doing for the project. Some are still WIPs, as I can't finish them all due to my very hectic schedule and since I'm the only 3D artist working for the project. Oh and btw, the film's length is approx. 90 minutes. 30 mins of that is going to be CG animation. AGH i need help XD

Made everything w/ 3dsmax. Renderer - Scanline.
I apologize if some of the images are too dark. My monitor's brightness is set to a very high level. XD

Yes po Sir Gamer ako lang gumawa nito, hehe. Salamat po Mahirap na rin kasi maghanap ng 3d artist ngayon, lalo na sa part namin kasi hindi naman kalaki-laki na budget ang binigay samin, hehe so ako lang talaga x_x pero tiyaga lang talaga kilangan, at maraming maraming inspiratiooon. Yun, inspiration nagpapatakbo sakin para tapusin ito lahat.

Roy eto pala yung dati mong ginagawa. Ang galing ah. Ang heavy ng scene nyan for sure. Keep it up.

hehe! salamat sir. ayun na nga. Dami kaming kinuhang reference sa mga 'jose rizal' films. May nastart na rin kaming project dati na CG version ng Noli, pero nadiscontinue lang. Kaya malaking tulong rin itong mga ginagawa kong models para gamitin sa Noli kung sakaling ituloy namin hehe

Hindi pa po ito, although mga 95% final na ito. Detailing na lang talaga. Konting electric wires (may kuryente na pala xD), mga sign boards sa mga buildings, konting kalat sa tabi tabi, dumi na rin. Di ko lang matapos agad kasi ang daming pinapagawa sabay sabay x_x hehe

Wahahah! Salamt salamat bro. Hindi naman sa ganun! haha Tagal ko na kasing hindi nagpopost dito. Kaya inipon ko muna mga works ko bago ilagay lahat dito para BIGATIN. haha joke! Bout sa final clip...Matagal pa bago matapos ito. Pero may mga samples na kami, yun lang nga hindi pa final yun pero pwde na. Try ko ipost yung samples soon.

MASTER! XD hehe, uu ang tagal ko na nandito sa project na 'to. Nung fire/water/wind competition pa haha. Kaya nga pansin mo yung mga models na ginamit ko dun, inextra ko rin dito hehe. Pero this month lang talaga nagsimula yung talagang production ng project. Yup, super heavy scene nga. O_O Parang slideshow pag minove ko na yung camera eh, haha. Pero ok na naman sa ngayon, naoptimize ko na yung buong scene.

Salamat sa crit sir Destijl. Cge aaminin ko hndi ko ginandahan ang pagtexture dito. (halata nmn ata eh) XD Halos parepareho lang rin bawat building. Pero in a rush kasi kami at kilangan may mapakita agad so walang choice kundi 'rushed work'. Kung may extra working time pa sana aayusin ko pa to...

its nice xboy, good patience there, try mo vray export mesh, para ma optimize yung scene mo. good job. comment ko lang is yung compositing, im sure hindi pa yan final, tsaka ung DOF, konting adjustment lang, pero over all looks nice. hope to see the video soon.

wow! Thanks sa tips sir! I'll definitely look into that. Pero scanline lang kasi renderer ko para mabilis lang. Kung gagamitin ko po yan dapat Vray rin renderer ko diba? @_@ Pero ok lang muna sa ngayon, workable pa naman ang scene ko at hindi pa gaano mabigat hehe. 'Bout dun sa compositing, yup test lang naman so hindi pa gaano refined. Meron kaming test na mas updated, tanungin ko mga boss ko kung ok lang ba iupload dito sa net, hehe
