Post by bakugan Wed Oct 28, 2009 2:15 am

Thanks in advance mga master.

Mirrors and glass are two different things.

Mirrors are 100 reflective whichever angle you look at it (alang fresnel properties)

Glass can be transparent, glossy or not and it requires the fresnel mask for reflections and the inverse for refraction.

For vray materials, it the checkbox beside Fresnel Reflection (right-side of Hilight glossiness parameters.

For standard materials, it is the Falloff map placed in the reflection or refraction slot (if it is a transparent/reflective material)

sa akin sir bak depende sayo syo yan kung ano ba tlga gusto mong palabasin...depende sa scene...may exterior na kailangan mo lang ng tamang opacity ng glass and syempre reflection...its how you manipulate the scene....syempre iba iba comment ng mga tao pero syo pa rin kung ano sa tingin mo ang maganda....technical stuff....opacity and reflection parepareho lang ang timpla nyan...values lang ng reflection ang nagkakaiba.......

You cannot play with physical properties if you do not know what happens in real life. You got to know first the theories before you start breaking them. Because you cannot break what you do not know Smile

IMHO.

Of course the bottomline is maganda - but you cannot do so if you do not know how to make it ganda. Knowing the theories behind the properties of real world objects translates to how you will craft the material. Fresnel for reflective surfaces is one of them. Knowing how to make real world materials translates to better renders.

Can't live not knowing them.

o.t.
tama ka jan sir....pero siguro importante din ang drawing lalo na kung kailangan mo ng presentation drawings just to impress the client otherwise kung di siya impress sa drawing mo di mo makukuha ang project at wala ding collection peace man peace man peace man back to basic i guess learn from line values to theories to design thumbsup

Maraming maraming Salamat po sa pagapapahalaga sa aking katanungan. Therefore i conclude, sipag at tyaga lang ang kailangan kasi mahirap timplahin yung glass talaga ika nga "constant practice makes perfect". Salamat ulit mga Master. 2thumbsup
