Re: VrayDirt (AO)
make sure na naka meters ka pag gamit mo ay 1. meaning nya 1 meter. pro pag mm naman ang gamit mo, dapat 1000 ang radius mo. I think naka "mm" ka dyan.
Re: VrayDirt (AO)
model done in autocad naka milimeter.pero pag convert ko sa 3dsmaxfile naka Meter na ang maxfile ko. thanks....

Re: VrayDirt (AO)
i would not use a vraydirt material over a vraymat...and definitely if you are trying to have an AO, you should not be using any lights on your scene..it would defeat the purpose. sun shadows and sky shadows will kill many AO in many areas of your scene..and it would do well once u multiply it in your image in photoshop
instead, try this
1. Use vraylight material. Under the Color, apply vraydirt...adjust the radius accordingly...balance it out also with the vraylight material value..
2. you can either use GI or no GI at all...I usually don't use a GI computation. if u adjust the radius of the dirt and light value of the material, you will produce a good Ambient Occlusion

No GI
No lights
No reflections/refractions
Everything can be set via globals.
My preference is vraydirt over the diffuse slot of a self-illuminated global STANDARD MATERIAL
