Re: Portrait editing by ER
ano name ng plug in???
IMHO the hair editing was sablay ...
its all blur sa edge at hindi pa pantay ang pagka blur , if you want to crop the hair.. must crop it nicely..
it you want the effect of a light shining in on hair, hair must still have sharp edges but lighter ... not blur
the pen tool and mask is still better than this ..
lower the value used in the plug in.. like the feather ... it would look nicer..

Re: Portrait editing by ER
if i can do it, you can do it yourself as well ... u just need a keen eye
here it goes
pen tool the sides of the hair.. (didnt use mask here.. kce madali lang i-adjust ang color nya .. kce mey highlights..)
press CTRL and the path layer together
CTRL SHIFT I -- para ma-inverse ang selection
feather =2 ..ENTER,
then erase using brush all the sides u dun want.. adjust the HARDNESS
if possible adjust the paths .. click onto the path layer.. then click the pen tool icon.. click on the path
press CTRL and the path layer together
CTRL SHIFT I -- para ma-inverse ang selection
feather again = 1 .. ENTER
IMAGE - REPLACE COLOR (pick SELECTION) .. pick any of the green parts .. adjust the fuzziness as to your liking..
for this picture .. kce she is glowing in green.. which you forgot to adjust on the edited picture... coz the background was red.. her hair still got the green highlights...
and for tha hair part on her shoulder .. i just made another layer
C=39, M=73, Y=74, K=42 .. layer SOFTLIGHT, opacity 100
brush lang ...
you can use this.. included the path that i made...
hay naku!!! ang dami daming work gusto mo pa ng demo..

Re: Portrait editing by ER
This guy has a very keen weakness for criticisms. I learned my lesson long time ago that is why I always give his work a pass.
So that I go on topic- I think and not because of any agendas - that the kettlerenderer and all those who commented in the negative, did hit it on the right spot.
Feathering is the way to go and you need to remove the green spill from the background. I think the kettlerender did a much even better work on how to go about a good background removal even without a plugin.
And one advice not just to you but to everyone with a heart of a sibuyas - take the criticisms for their value not by who's saying them or whether the critic has enough portfolio to impress the masses.
If it's bad - it will be bad no matter how you look at it. You should be glad someone has the guts to tell it to you.
Next time, chie - give them a pass - its a waste of time. and energy. Focus your attention to those willing to listen. Jenaro where are you?

Re: Portrait editing by ER
add ko lang na comment ixxxboyxxxi, if u dont mind:
masyadong harsh ung highlights sa edited version. IMO i prefer the balance of highlights/midtones/shadows in the original.
just my two cents.

Read my replies carefully man!...... I do listen to the critics..... It is just how you criticaly manage your ways.
If you want to prove something.... just show it..... we all have the freedom to believe what you say or not because we have own ways to handle things.
Try to read our previous comments man.............................. Just prove it until I see it.... so you can sell it.
Right right... you always give me a pass..................... You gave up on me proving that I can rely on your critic....
There are a lots of people in this crazy world of different perspective in life...... You just dont have the guts to push what you believe in to make others believe............
Try to listen to the negative things I sometimes get about you too.... then you will see you might be barking on the same tree I am barking on...... BUT FUNNY.... I AM JUST BARKING ON THAT TREE JUST TO HAVE SOME FUN. hihihihihihihihihi
Miss Chie.... I respect your comments for me............... I am glad you posted more help to prove your critic.........
I am happy for that......................... CONGRATS!!!!
