Sa palagay ko meron, merge mo lang yung object na gusto mong ilipat. Pagkatapos mong e merge proxy mo nalang para hindi masyadong mabigat yung file.

if your intention is to get one model from a another max scene...do this
1. select that object, then go to File Menu
2. select Xref Object. - the object will be isolated form the other as a max file
3. to insert it to your other max scene, go agian to File menu and hit Merge ( as sir Bakugan elabotated) or you may hit xref scene.

Not really entirely wrong but for purposes of intention - this has no meaning at all. XREF is cool if all you want is to SEE the "other" object in the viewport and not edit them.

XREF is a collaboration tool, you use it to work on somebody else's file and they get updated realtime.

Merge is for merging. So follow bakugan's advice.
