Hypershot Tips and tricks
for those who want to look at hypershot.. some of the usual tips and tricks here. you are welcome to add.
1. use the "K" of the keyboard if you forget the basic short cuts. knowing these shortcuts will increase your efficiency and workflow with this software.
2. if you want to increase the intensity of your hdri background press the arrow key up.. if you want to fine tune the increase of this intensity press the right arrow key. Decreasing will be the reverse : arrow key down and arrow key left respectively.
3. if you want to increase the contrast of the shadow.. decrease the gamma value of the HDRi environment.
4. its alway good to have a lot of HDRI enviroment
5. you can use back plate for your background image. hypershot will use it for refelction and at the same time using the hdri as light source.
6. there is no point light in hypershot but you can use hdr material as materials. and they emit light.. a seperate tutorial for this.
7. if you are doing interior, remove some walls, behind the camera. this will increase the hdri lighting.
8. Hypershot 1.8 and 1.9 are the best version for me, because they support decaling (opacity map) bump etc.
9. the plastic material is the best material choice to do other materials. (will do seperate tutorial on this)
10. its better to use normal map for bump map. to create normal map in photoshop, you need to download a free plugin from Nvidia. Another good software to create normal maps are filterforge and fix plant.
11. before you open your sketchup models, you need to do the same material for all materials with the same mapping. separate materials with different mapping types.
more to come.....
