help po on autocad model to max.

mga sir at mga mam. tanung ko lang... my tutorial dito na nakita ko about linking cad model to max. at malaking tulong eto
kasi mas sanay ako magmodel sa cad. at balak ko sana na pag nagrerender ako sa max na at emomodel ko lang sa cad. kaso.

ive run some simple render test. isa lang interior (simple room with open window) at mental ray gamit ko na engine.

eto na poh. same rendering settings and lighting.

1. cad model simple interior with open window - yung render maraming mapopoti sa corners.... at ang lighting may discripanse.
2. max model simple interior with open window - yung render ok na ok.

bali bakit poh pag cad model iba yung output?

kahit poh simple box model sa cad na ini file link sa max. ganun din. my unting discripanse sa lighting.

try mo tsek yung weld before you File Link Cad to max.. tignan mo ang sir ha..

i wish i can, but i cant. di ako marunung mag model sa max. nagsimula akong mag explore sa max last 2 weeks ago...

so di ko alam mga pasikot-sikot. dito.. salamat din sa advice...

I'm not sure if this is the right solution to your problem sir. I tried to recreate your scene, by modeling in cad and file linking it to max. Maybe your CAD units settings is not the same with your 3dsMAX units settings. I also rendered it in mental ray.

Here is a rough guide to file linking in max.



In my case once the model is final, I just bind the cad file in max and save it as a different file. Or for floor plans I select all the objects, clone it, and then detach the linked file.

Added tip: you can set max unit by clicking on customize/units setup, and set it up from there...

sir.. thanks for the reply. no luck... i have tried it already. because the tuts on how to link cad model to max pointed also that
units are important (here in cgpinoy tuts.) cad dwg. in millimeter and max in millimeter ... and the i have tried to clone the model and detatch just like you said. but no luck again.....

its just the same.... thier are still the splashy lights on corners.....

is thier any more alternate method in this problem of mine?

sir arkiedmund , nakaligtaan ko yung sabi nyo yung word na bind.....

after linking the cad model. in files tab. select bind..... at yung model. nawala yung mga dark portions nya....

if you bind file linked models, you wont be able to edit it again "ala" xref... binding cad means you're satisfied with your 3d models already and no more to future editing... if not so, you file link it again...

thanks for the tip sir..... and no choice kasi. pag hindi binind yung model. pagrenirender may lumalabas na splashy lights sa corners......

I don't think this is a result of the model being made in cad; nor is it a result of the file link procedure...
I'm betting this will be resolved with your max render settings...

ser di ako master ha.. pero replyan ko to... tama ka sir master tito cloud... those burnt ekek on his ceiling are the result of high intensity of lights... try reducing it and play with shutter speed and iso speed on your vray phy cam....

sir ERICK mental ray po gamit niya. I also have a feeling this is not cad related or something. Although when i tested and tried to recreate the scene light leaks where obvious before i severed the link with CAD. I could have tested further, but I am too busy to look into that.

I have imported lots of CAD models to max during my early forays with 3dsMAX and I never really encountered such a problem. If I have time, i'll try to look into this using mental ray...hirap kasi puro tayo beeray ng beeray....he he he....

ok to sir... aral aral ka mag model sa max, dami tutorials d2..
ask ask lang din sa mga masters natin...

dre problema nyan s cad model mo... iwasan mo magintersect yung wall o kaya make sure walang gap ang isat isa!!! kaya pumapasok ang light source s gilid... dapat sakto s edge ang pagkakadikit ng cad model mo... rock n roll men!!!

now i know!! thnks d2... ganun pla, kaya pla pag nilalagay ko ung ibang model ko SU or sa max parang meh error... OT....

THANKS to all who replied... yun nga po..... pag gumawa ako ng simple room sa max (using box.) wala na mang lumalabas na
high lights sa corners... at pag file link cad model. , even with the same render settings. at lights parameters. my lumalabas na high lights sa corners.. pero yung sinabi ni sir arkiedmund na e-bind naging ok na....



i really dont know how to tweak things in max. unang subok sa max, seguro last two weeks ata....

i also encounter such problem before, so i've gone into an extensive study on how to link cad files to max and finally solve my problem by adjusting Weld threshold to 0.001 on File Link Setting...

suggest ko sir try modelling in max...
try n rn checking ur CAD models b4 exporting or importing in to max...

mental ray user ako and a cad modeller eversince ,ive encountered this problems of coz during my early times sa max, settings lng yan bro sa mental ray taasan mo lng subdivisions mo kasi very senstive sa mental ray..

salamat sa reply.... mga ilang buwan pa lang ako sa autocad at eto na naman bago... max... di talaga maiwasan na magcrush!!!
yung ginagawa... practice lang muna ako. at explore more...
