1. I am confused whether this is the inside of a house or a shot from the outside. of course I would assume this is the outside because of the volume lighting from the right side. Perhaps it's the floor or I am left to look at lesser visual clues( or none at all) to make me feel that I am looking at the front of the house.
2. There are just too many planks. try to be more creative with your wooden texture choices, while the render looks fine - the textures gives me some sort of an unconscious doubt as to whether they can be real or "meron ba talagang ganyan?" or "pwede ba itong maging totoo?" feeling (basing it on my own experience as a person not as a cg guy).
This is different from the so called creative license some people use to defend their creations - while one can be free in choosing elements in cg, the realities are - you can be free but one must be careful in choosing elements that your audiences can relate to. Sometimes, it helps to ask yourself - can it really be constructed? I can afford tile flooring in the outside but can only settle for planked doors?
3. You've got chains as locks but where are you going to bolt it in on the other side?
4. Lastly - where is your tuba?
Again, many renders I've seen here are really superb, whats lacking is the visual inter-relationship among the elements in the scene. The absence of this important virtue takes away the suspension of disbelief. And the brain is made to resort to saying - this aint real, this aint good. Lack of this virtue makes your renders look interesting for the first few seconds but nonetheless in the next minute.
Amen.
Make thy renders tell the story - not the title.
Everything in the scene should be there for a reason.
