Anybody used Red One camera here or have composited 3d with 4k live action?

Curious lang ako. Kung 4k ang resolution ng plates ninyo, 8k ba dapat ang resolution ng textures ng 3d (for feature film theatrical release).

The low video quality trailer of indie film PINTA*KASI doesn't show it but it's supposed to have scenes shot by Red One 4K cameras:

Even if you shoot with RED at 4K resolution, there is no consumer theater capable of playing that digitally except Sony's.

Most of the films we worked on were shot on 2K res. Depending on the camera used - average is Full HD at 1080p.

The beauty of having footages shot at more than the usual 2K res - is that you can digitally zoom or pan without loss of resolution.

The rule for textures is that you have to make sure that it is larger than size it would appear in the screen because it is easier to sample larger images to small than vise-versa.

They're the local studio I know so far who use Red cameras a lot. Like in Journey's concert at the Mall of Asia last March they were able to use 10 to get content for the dvd edition.
