hp or sony...(sony ang nanalo)

First topic message reminder :

ask ko lang poh kung ano mas ok na brand hp o sony for laptop?thanks,im planning to buy kasi...35k pesos lang budget ko,ano kaya ung pinakabest laptop for this budget?

asus is taiwan build and assembly.. they are known for their build quality though product from phillipines is not bad either imho... i dont consider dell and hp, when there's cheaper alternative like acer, msi and asus with same specs with better features and... cheaper price :p

just dont pay for the brand name, do your homework, research your picks based on your budget and daily usage, then compare them side by side...

in tech reality, the only difference will be the after-sale warranty, batterylife (this is essential), layout design (keys) and last your budget.. yan lang ang difference nyan talaga, considering the specs will be always constant depend on the price margin you're looking for.. the looks and patented stickers will be just for marketing and waste of molah if youre asking me..

as for SATA II.. its the next transition from IDE (PATA), with smaller cable means neat wire management and build cost, faster transfer rate of data (3gbit/s) for incoming and outcoming files at the same rate and time and hot swapping (plug and pull).. this last quarter they might release SATA III which is 6gbit/s, twice as fast from the second gen SATA..

salamat ng cgpepz...i finally decided na kunin ang sony. pro book hp at sony sr series ang nasa final choice ko.pero i go for sony kahit di sya specs wise panalo compare sa hp pro book which is much cheaper.im soo excited na magamit na ito sa pagrender.thnx again sa mga ngbigay ng advise for me!

I have both an Asus mini (not for 3d) and an HP DV6000 which I bought about three years ago.

I had no problem with my HP so far - I even converted it to Xp from Vista without any hitch. I use it for on-the-spot maxing, rendering, compostiing, etc. Can't be mobile without it.

In our studio - we don't even think of Sony's. The reason for that is entirely to wide perceptions that although they may be no. 1 in terms of product design and support, they aren't really a computer manufacturer if you compare them to HP or Dell or any other pc-centered distributors.

ito naman si sir v bat ngayon nyo lang sinabi saken...may sakit pa naman ako kapag may binili ako na late ko nalaman na di pala ganun ka ok nanghihinayang ako!nyahahhaha...huhuhuhu,pro book hp last on the line at sony...mas mura ang pro book at mas maganda ang specs,really like the IBM flatform nya...naman!tsk tsk tsk...anyway nabili ko na,to late the hero naman kayo sir v!hmmmp!

To be honest - we don't even buy branded workstations here. All of our workstations are either built as kits or made by smaller companies yet they perform well.

Well I guess it all boils down preferences but of course if we can afford it - we'd settle for everything japan-made. But the fact is - most if not all of the electronics sold here are either assembled or made somewhere else. Design, marketing and after-sales support remain Japanese though.

Generally, Japanese buyers aren't as critical like in the old days - as long as the after-support is exceptional, well buy it.

problema sa HP yung battery. Madaling ma drain after awhile. I would buy a Toshiba next time.
