not enough memory?

mga tsong...bakit ganun bagong install ko yung after effects ko then mag nag start na akong mag import ng files lalabas yung error na ""not enough memory"" saka mag crash yung program..ano kayang problema? TIA

-check you computer memory, ano ba specs ng computer mo.

intel core 2 quad processor 2.50ghz
4096mb DDR2 ram
nvidia ge-force GT120 - 1 gig
32-bit MS vista po yung gamit ko

nagsisimula palang akong mag import ng file crash agad...huhu....di ko alam kung san ang conflict sa memory ko.....

ok naman ah, ako core 2 dou lang 2gb ddr, pero ok naman, mabibigat pa program na nakainstall sa akin...max 2010, autocad 2010, Adobe creative Suite ( all program) maya 2009, bryce, vue, zbrush, pinnacle 12 ultimate, particles illusion, 3d album design cs 3.0, lightroom, poser 7, SU at marami pang iba..... pero as of now, no recorded crash since the last i format it.

try mo ireinstall or secure new installer.

try increasing ur memory limit. AE eats up a lot of memory real quick

What is the amount of RAM displayed on the AF splash screen when you start it up?

Also if you do not have the 3G switch on, it will only recognize the 2GB from the RAM.

waaa..dami nyo mabibigat na program...ang nakalagay lang sa akin sir max, PS, Flash MX, SU lang sir...tpos sa pagdating sa AFter effects ang lumalabas na error pag nag start na akong mag import ng jpegs "not enough memory" saka "After effects needs 2kb: 1000000kb available" tpos yun mag sisimula na syang maghang...then crash...try kong install ulit nga sir....thanks

sir di ko napansin yung ram displayed sa splash screen ng AF check ko later ulit. and ano po yung 3G switch? then na try ko yung "secret" option dun sa edit preference na nabasa ko sa isang help line sa net about ram consumption na magrereset every 5 frames...en-adjust ko na rin but still ganun pa rin nag cra crash pag nag start mag import...ngayon ko lang naranasan ko sa AF yun...before i have a p4 processor sa Phil then install ko yung lumang version AF la naman akong naging problem...

Which means AF is only using 2Gigs of your 4Gig Ram.

Here's how to set the 3gb switch in Vista, I have not tried it since I'm on XP so FOLLOW AT YOUR OWN RISK.

sir wrangler, still in the same situation. 3gig na yung lumalabas sa splash screen still crash pa rin ang nangyayari. maybe yung OS na siguro yung problem kaya ng desktop ko..hay ito yata yung usual problem ng AE7. well, i'll keep on trying, and still have to finish my project.

My Apologies - came in late. Something must be wrong with the installation.
If all fails, reinstall After Effects and see if that helps.

sir v. i guess, hindi compatible yung AFX7 sa vista, .....ito nakapag cs3 nako ayon gumana na po....thanks bossing.......

sensei.......here's my advice try upgrade yung memory ng unit mu kasi sa pagkasabi mu 4096mb DDR2 ram lng yung memory ng unit mu....try to upgrade it atleast 4GB na memory....and then, see it for yourself how it works!

thanks sa info bro pero di ba 4096mb = 4gigs? anyway gumana na sya bro...hindi lang tlga compatible yung ae7 sa vista.....cs na yung gamit ko.....ayon gumana na sya...

Di ba 32 bit ung os mo.try mo mg 64 bit. hanggang 2gig lng yata ang kayang basahin ng 32 bits os kaya ng eeror. okaya try m ung secret sa preferences ng after effects.

agree ako kay sir aian_664 hindi ka makakamaximize ng ram kung 32bit lang OS mo, kahit aabot kapa ng 8gb 3.something ang maoocupied nya kasi 32bit lng ang OS. ( IMHO)
