Post by virus Fri Aug 07, 2009 5:38 am

PC specs:
4gb DDR2 667
MS 7255 VER 2.1 mobo

wala sa OS yan... there are people using windows7 @ 12gb and they lovin it, advice po sir

- verify on your bios or the boot page everytime you can see how much memory you got..
- check your memory settings sa bios, be sure youre using the same speed, ddr2 677 vs. ddr2 800.. usually pag ganito scenario, your ddr800 will downgrade to the lowest speed you have..
- are you running @ dual channel, you might you mess it up by adding a new one.. dual channel plus a single stick will not work.. disable mo sa bios din.
- simple as it is, check mo kung pagkainstall mo sa motheboard, baka hindi mo na ayos pagkasalpak, be sure naka lock yung safey pin ng memory.
- use CPUZ or best, Lavasys Everest, diagnostic tools yan, naka indicate dun hardware na currently naka install sa pc mo.. even drive manager makikita mo na problems mo..
- run dxdiag, see your system memory.. this wont lie too..
- and last, hindi lagi full 4gb yan free system memory mo, +3.6 kasi ginagamit na ng OS mo yung ibang memory, specially vista and seven..

hth.

check mo bro sa bios > power management setup > HPET MODE > 64 bits kung nakaenable. kung hindi, enable mo then reboot. pag hindi pa rin ulit ulitin mo ung advse ni dpxyl ayos un. thumbsup

isolate mo muna, run using your new memory sticks, then next yung old sticks then try mo pagpalitin naman ng slot or switch from sticks (the old and the new)

pag dual channel setup, twin yan dapat (dimm A1 + dimm B1 : dimmA2 + dimm B2) same brand, same part number..

or try mo update mo bios revision mo, baka memory compatibility lang na yan..
