Creating "PUDDLE" on the road

Due to CGPians request about the "Puddle" on the road, dito ko na lang sa 3DMax/Vray tutorial nilagay para na rin sa nakakarami. Share ko yung setup ko sa inyo. First go >> HERE << to download some "Road Textures". Second go >> HERE << to download "Dirtmaps" then follow the steps below:

STEP - I Choose diffuse/bitmaps and select any road textures


STEP - 2 Choose refl glossyness/bitmaps and select any dirtmap. Adjust RBG to 80 or its up to you....


STEP - 3 It should be look like this..

hayyy naku napaka-demanding naman talaga oo... o heto na yung dirtmap...save as image mo na lang...
or heto pa yung link ng mga Dirtmap na pwede mo i-save.

Depending on how deep your puddles are, it has to be glossy. Otherwise it will look like a bunch of mirrors along the road.

The puddles you see are actually caused by the recession (hole) on the road surface, so if water converge, and seen from a distance - they compress and look like bigger reflective surfaces.

I agree Sir V, better choose the right Dirtmap in the right position. thanks for additional info

For more control, the maps should be on the REFLECT slot.
Think of the REFLECT slot as a mask controller. The map that you put in there will control the strength of the reflections. Anything Black will prevent refelctions from appearing, White will make them more reflective.

Reserve the Reflection Glossiness for what they are supposed to do in the first place - for glossiness.
