How's YOUR... NOODLES!!! bwehehehe!!! Empty How's YOUR... NOODLES!!! bwehehehe!!!

Post by kunito Fri Jul 31, 2009 2:47 pm

... ok... I posted a scene setting a week ago... (which I will also be updating...)

... now... the character for that scene is this guy... I mean... noid... he he he... that's what I call them...

... yup... I have been doing roughs on this character for years now... he he he... (4 years I mean...)
... originally I had him designed for 2d animation... yeah... for FLASH... (that's why the sketches were all simple... direct)
... I got the inspiration from my animation mentor... sir Randy... from his animation training and test...
... I already had done flash scenes using him... walks, runs, swings, and even fight scenes...

... now I have decided to create a 3d model of him 2 nights ago... and there he is...
... now... I was eating noodles while working on him...
... I realized... hey... this guy needs some noodles too...

... I've done some doodles for his noodles...
... I used cylinders, had them twisted and bent along with FFDs...
... while on the others, I used sweep on splines and added edit poly... and committed polygony again... bwehahehe...
... the last one I tried was directly a helix, sweeped and added edit poly, had it bent and also FFD'd...

... problems were very obvious for each study... which is a very common eventuality... (that's why its a wip...haha!!!)
...anyways...
... on the first doodle noodle... extrusions and other poly modifications were distorted in a rubbery way... which I didn't like...
... the second... well... it's too common...
... the 3rd... well... so far has been cooperative...

... so I decide to cut open him a top cap... and added a plate...

... had the 3rd noodle set served on it... he he he...
(he needs it... even if his never gonna use it... bwahahahaha...)

(while... I wonder if I have one... oh yeah... I already ate it... bwahahaha....)

... anyways... there's still a lot of issues to address on this model... like...
... harmonizing the noodles with the plate for better fusion...
... also some smoothing concerns on the head itself... but... hell it's a wip... he he he...
... see ya in trenta!!! bwahahahahehehe...
peace man

.... hhhehehehehe... hheeeyyy...
well... how do I start... It's supposed to be 30 days for the next post...
but... things and events got cooperative... so...

here we go...

... now... I have included the skeletal structure of this character in my crazy detail scene

... yup... I wanted to have a very weakling look...
... at some point meek, and radiating some innocence...
(even though he's just wearing a thong!!! bwahahaha!!!)

... as the scene and the concept grows... (both character and environment...)
... I've decided to evolve my character into a more athletic type...
... now in this stage of the designing... I maximized the use of the MODIFIER STACK...
first to be done was the head...

... as I have said before... I'm a polygonous guy.. he he he...
... I like playing with polygons via edit poly modifier...
(it's a great modifier to experiment with...)

... the next one was the vest...
... it was just made up of polygons...
... and enhanced with an FFD Box...

... I decided to add another edit poly in the stack...
... then used turbo smooth...

... the shoulders and arms... were also just a bunch of standard primitives
enhanced within their respective stacks...

... same with the upper legs...
... I wanted to have that athletic shorts impression,
so i added trims via... still.. edit poly...

... on the foot... I wanted to have create a running shoes type...
... so... I just kept on adding stacks for every detail that I end up liking...
... by doing that... I still have an open ended model, which I can revise easily!!!
How's YOUR... NOODLES!!! bwehehehe!!! Footco10

... sorry to cut it for now...
... as usual... work in the way...
... anyways... see you zoon!!!

... continuing with the hand..
now... obviously.. the thumb was the most that bothered me on this build up...

... so I decided to have it remodeled...
