One Fine Day
Today is an unusual day. I don't usually wake up very early and since I did, I challenged myself for an impromptu shoot. This will also serve as a test if I'm ready to shoot Angkor Wat next week.

Re: One Fine Day
First signs of the sky formation looks no good, but some nice patterns are starting to form.
5- MARINA - 6:21AM
6- MERLION - 6:37AM
was playing with filters and different angles shows different moods too and so with the above variations.
7- ESPLANADE - 7:02AM
8- RAFFLES CITY - 7:21AM
i didn't manage to capture my intended look when the sun was already just above the horizon. somehow the broken clouds spoiled it. but i enjoyed the shoot and since it's already late, i need to catch up with some sleep. thanks for viewing!

Sir glen bakit kailangan ko ng gumamit ng tri pod sa 1/15secs??Kailangan ba mas stable na yung cam sa ganyang setup??
Thanks po..
And last ano pong lens po gamit nyo sir glen..

it's a must to use a tripod if you really want to achieve more sharper landscapes, birding and macro also applies. although some have stable hands or have better holding techniques nothing beats using a stable tripod. for landscape a tripod ensures that the horizon is locked-on perfectly unlike when handholding--a bit of inhale/exhale or tripping the shutter will cause so much tilting already. also, if you are familiar with the 1/X-secs not less than Y-focal length rule of thumb then you will know when to or not to use a tripod. but this rule of thumb does not apply if your cam or lens has vibration reduction feature, you'll have 2-4stops advantage therefore may not need a tripod at 1/15secs. i have got to know my new telephoto with VR and the most i can handhold with sharp images is at 1/20secs, f/4.
