bro, wala akong intention magyabang, i just post my rig na matagal kong pinag ipunan mababa pa nga specs nito, i just feel offended, dahil sa dami dami ng nag post dito sakin ka lang nag comment.

nabuo ko naman to under 35k lang.. mag 2 years na sa akin.. minsan bukas ng 4 or 7 days buhay pa naman... kaya nagbago na pagtingin ko sa expensive mobo lalo na kung hindi ka naman mag OC for me sayang lang.. kaya yung mga mobo ko under 4 k lang...

nung bata bata pa ako.. grabe ako mag invest sa expensive parts, mobo, case, mems, (case ko dati 8-10k mobo naman 12-14k and kung ano ano ka chorvahan na kinakabit sa pc, mga makabulag na led lights ) ganun den naman ang performance.. kung aabutin ako ng 80k sa isang hi end i7, gawin ko na lng sya cheap na dalawang i7.

to pinaka walang nasayang ko na bili hindi ko magamit for rendering kasi grabe kung mag overheat hindi naman sya nag shutdown kaso umaabot yung temp ng 98-102... kahit naka laptop cooler na ako....

I've got my new Rig but i guess it not that really awesome as the others, and also i would level this one as a Mid-Range rendering Machine but so far it works for me.

Motherboard: ASRock Extreme 4 Z87
CPU:            Intel Haswell i7 4770K
Memory:       Kingstone 8gig ( yeah too low Ala pa kasing pera )
Graphics:      Gigabyte GTX 660 2G ( from Old Rig and pretty bad coz its a gaming card, and again no Budget yet )
Case:           Gigabyte M10  ( Damn thing about this Case is installation goes the Opposite way so all my parts go upside down instead of the conventional ones Though outside its looks really neat.
Hard Disk:     Western Digital 1TB ( yeah and again ala pa rin pambili ng SSDs eh sad to say )
PSU:             Gigabyte Bronze 650W

So yeah this is like my Basic Build for now hopefully next month i could get an upgrade on my Memory and SSDs first then Later on i will buy a descent cooler for my CPU because i'm gonna Overclock it. As for now this machine works well with 3dsmax and Vray.

Hope someone could give me an advise on my next upgrade.

A bit OT, yeah vRay RT is great, but isn't it the case that the entire scene (geometry and textures) need to fit in the GPU RAM in order for RT to work? In that case I always run short as our usual working files and texture sets are HUGE. Just wanted to ask if you run into the same memory limit problems with RT, 3GB is not a lot of memory these days even with proxies.

Clarification lang po. When you say "the most important is, you are the owner" does that have to mean that you personally paid for the rig / PC with your own personal money? Or pwede bang "office" rig even though the real owner is technically the owner of the company and not you? Just wanted to clarify lang po

@lwf im using vray rt lng for initial setup ng lights naka override material ako, positioning of sun, vray light color and sa mga studio renderings ko kasi mas mabilis ng sobra compared sa vray cpu..and my pagka unbiased na sya sa paningin ko lang kasi mas less yung pag tweak ng settings.. compared sa ir and lm settings.. kung my extra fund lang nag gtx titan na lang sana ako para mas malaki memory 6gb.. pero siguro pag mga isang interior room lang tapos ang texture size limit mo is mga 1000 pixels kaya siguro..

sa interior na final rendering hindi sya pwede kasi lumalagpas ako ng 6 gig sa interior eh...

@ crayzard, got it. it is quite useful nga for lighting setup and for "studio" scenes as that probably fits into 3GB. we tried it for a full interior residential scene before and unfortunately di talaga kaya sa laki ng files (and those were some of our smallest files). hopefully on day we will get gamer cards that will have more RAM.

btw nVidia now has a 12GB video cards already, the Quadro K6000 and also the Tesla K40. one can only dream.....

heres my new pc build, kapatid ng aking older 3770 setup, last week ko lang nabili ang parts, then assembled ko nun sunday lang.

sir oby20 suggestion lang. im sure you can still hide all your psu cables at the back of the mb tray. corsair casings like this carbide has a big space for managing your cables at the back so that it can compliment your windowed side panel and lighting better. just use some twist ties or zip ties to secure the cables at the back.
