Re: Exterior Night Scene practice
Hmmmm... first time?
here are a few tips that defies whether its your first time or second or third...
Framing: you need to work on the framing. with a subject of proportion perhaps you may look into adjusting your frame ratio? What im look at, on my screen is a house right smack in the middle of the frame. Expand the frame and show more frame.
Lighting: for a night shot is not bad... if we consider this house in the middle of nowhere. However i'm not so sure why you wanted to present you subject as dark as it is, as more of an early night and yet no moon kind of scene. The roof is so detailed (from the silhouette) and yet try to hide it... why waste the effort? show it off, it doesn't do justice. Again the comment on the environment plays here. Perhaps a little dusk sun? that would even make it more dramatic isn't it?
Materials: erm... lets see the amended frame 1st...
