Photography Challenge Monthly (November 2008)

Finally. Our first photography challenge. We encourage everybody to join, in order to improve one's skill and technique in photography, we believe that everyone has an artist inside. Let it shine.

This month's theme is
"Life of a CG Artist"

Entry Format:
1. 1 image per member
2. Title
3. Camera used,
for DSLR- fstop value, shutters speed, ISO
for P&S digicam - Preset
4. Entries posted should not exceed 800px X 800px
but a link to a larger file may be added.

Winners will be judged through a poll by CG|Pinoy members.
The winning entry will be posted in our
"Photo of the Month" Web Page Link
to be launched together with the
first winning photo on December 8, 2008

All entries should be in on or before November 30, 2008.

Tutik - Entry#2
"Life of a CG Artist - Taking time to appreciate the wonderful things around us"

I decided this the most fit entry from my vault, a self-portrait of me (backing music by RHCP-under the bridge =).

In one of Ansel Adam's books, 'visualisation' is a foremost chapter. Visualisation is the soul of my career as a CG artist. I therefore take reference observing things around me and documenting my observations through photography. In photo-outings we are always in a lookout for fleeting moments, good subjects and dramatic lighting scenarious. We shoot scenes like trigger-happy maniacs. But do we take a moment to pause, put the camera aside for a while and wonder as the moments happens right through our very own eyes?

pwede naman ung cp camera di ba, minsan nga mas malulupit pa ung mga kuha nun eh. malupit pa sa P & S na cam ,ehe. sali ka kuya erick aabangan ko entry mo dito. .

lahat ng camera pwede, kahit lomo, kahit slr or 35mm film. phones pwede din, kahit vga or webcam. it's your creativity that's more important and para madevelop nyo pa ang skills nyo. post na!

its not even about winning guys. its about expressing and sharing what you could see around you. you are the only ambassadors in your workplace, your neighbor or where you are. by doing and sharing this, we could eventually learn from each other using this media.

we've discuss post-processing and I don't think its not gonna be a problem for now, we would like to try it out this month on how's everything's going to work.

There will always be a difference between a photograph and a digital art. but we'll see how our imagination would go. Thanks torvics. sali ka na.
