Photography Challenge Monthly (April 2009)

First topic message reminder :

And this month's theme is all about...

"COLORS"

1 entry* per member.
No entry shall exceed the 800 x 800 pixels limit.
Deadline is April 30, 2009.
We will be picking the 10 best photos for our poll*.
The winner will be announced on May 8, 2009.

Limit your photo editing to a minimum, no pornography, no explicit language, forum rules still apply.
This challenge is to harness your photography skills and learn trades from each other.
Just by joining the challenge, you are already a winner. Good luck guys!

*We encourage to share your settings together with you entries. Right click on your raw photos, you will find it in the properties. Make sure you do it before editing in photoshop or any photo editing softwares.
*Our poll can only accomodate 10 entries, hence the top 10 was conceptualized
*Top 10 entries are chosen by yours truly, together with our Admin and a random juror/s.

having said that i commend glensky's brave call for creativity. in fact he doesn't need to prove us in this particular challenge (just look at his previous entries they sums up what he's trying to say) the point is we really need to up the ante here (includes me as well). a little description about your entries would help to dig where you are coming from and for the voters, it would help if you state why you liked the image instead of just telling us what entry you voted for. note that most of us here are not seasoned photographers so a winning entry won't necessary be the best.

I think let's just be grateful that these guys allow us to share their idea's and creativeness.
I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but before you rant or talk smack just put your money where your mouth is and be thankful for the better.

It's a blessing to share with others collaborating works sharing and thriving for the best.

that's my motivation for this challenge....but still haven't got the moneyshot yet. =)

I salute your brave "sense" of honesty with your comment, I guess that will be a humble reminder for the most of us to not only be "creative" but also be "sensible" whenever we try click the button.

on one side bro, there is indeed a difference between point and shoot and creative photography. a good photographer with all its skills and toys will still be unsuccessful in the field of photography art without purposeful exploration and inventive expression. For most of us, basta maganda ang kuha ayos na yan. but indeed we should try to move one step farther. what is the photograph for? how this photograph will make a lasting impact (ika nga mahirap kalimutan). yes we are hoobyist but let us not just dwell on making this as a simple hobby. look at this in a bigger angle, bigger perspective.

i think no need to ask for glensky's sample because he has proven it already, look at his gallery. i have seen him from an hobbyist and becoming professional.

i think it's a watermark automatically created when you post an image linked from images in your multiply. can't get rid of it unless he use other hosts like photobucket or flickr.
