This is what im using in our office...mabilis ang modeling at rendering pareho halos ang bilis sa mga i7 desktops namin sa office di siya umiinit dahil sa cooling setup niya..i called this "STEALTH FIGHTER" dahil mukang stealth fighter ang hitsura...

@ strider ge70 ond sir kasi i7 3rd gen.. sya same lang sya sa current na gamit ko na ge70ond..

panalo na to sir sa price.. i7 3rd gen, 8 gig and gtx 660,,, rendertime ko eh pangabot lang sa 2600k

salamat sa reply sir, anong processor gamit mo sir i5 o i7? kasalukuyang nagcacanvas kasi for upgrade dna kakayanin ng 4yr. old toshiba ko ang max 12, planning also to invest in pc. andito ka din sa UAE sir?

mga sir.. what if kung acer na intel 5 yung processor tpus upgrade nlang ang ram sa 4gb or 8gb? then 2gb ang videocard.. pwede kaya?

When we say BEST laptop for 3D Max, then we do not have to argue about the budget, unless you really wanted go for an entry level laptop that would be able to do acceptable or maximum performance for 3D max, meaning, yung pinaka maganda ayon sa budget natin.

There are DIY's (Do It Yourself) now available and some find it powerful and fully costumize acording to likes or budget, bur as for me, after having DIY few years back, I have resorted to branded as they can give you maximum performance and worry less because they are covered by warranty and technical support.

When considering buying a Laptop, you should firest consider the Speed of Precessor (Intel i5 or i7, Quad Core, HexaCore or OctaCore... Ivy Bridge, Sandy Bridge or Extreme) the faster, the better pero higher cost din. Second consideration is RAM... min na yung 8Gb, pero better if you can have 16GB. Then consider Graphic Card. Autodesk recommends nVidia, kung kaya ng budget ang Quadro or ang GPU powered card would be best. Now a days, designeres are shifting using GPU rather than CPU when rendering.

Remember, nVidia Fx and nVidia GTX are designed for gaming and not for computing/rendering.

Just consider this, an Acer brand cost double VS Dell Alienware with almost same specs. Acer even promises a better specs such as full keyboard, wider screen, free RAM upgrades. But the Acer was design for Basic computing and entertainment... meaning, watching movies, playing songs... on the other hand, Alienware is meant for gaming. you can play continues 2-3 days continues and your machine wont heat up. Just imagine, you are rushing somthing an then your laptop crashes and heated up dahil 3 hours pa lang mainit na lappy mo?

Well, These are all insights, the best laptop for 3D max is actually those who are tested and certified by Autodesk.

If you really want to invest on these Laptop, then why not? anyway, you are asking naman dito sa Thread kung ano ang best Laptop for 3DMAx....

I would recommend you consider a high end laptop if you are always on the Go... al Mobile workstation as not really cheap, saka sobrang bigat dalhin.. makukuba ka lang.. best recommendation pa rin if you are a hard core 3DMax user at kabuhayan mo ito, then buy a good Desktp ( Dell Precision pa rin recommended ko).. then have at least a good quad-core, i% or i& laptop when doing some presentation sa client. as for me, i use iPad and iPad mini for presentation. Mas ma impress pa kausap mo... you do not work in front of your client dont you?

Tanong lang kung worth it for rendering kasi yun for gaming itong unit. As i read sa mga ibang comments eh magkaiba ang laptop for gaming vs rendering. I'm planning to buy this on Gitex here in Dubai pero not sure kung maganda sya pang render. Its worth AED 9,999 around P120k. Thanks

before na bitawan mo yang P120K mo, saan mo ba talaga gamitin ang Laptop... Gaming or 3DMax Rendering like vRay?

If rendering, I would suggest na yung xeon chip and quadro graphic card ang piliin mo, like Dell Precision Laptops. medyo mabagal pero di yan mag crush during rendering, Kahit 1-2 weeks ka tuloy tuloy na mag render, di ka kakabahan... I have an Alienware gaming laptop pero never kong nagamit sa rendering dahil di sya kasing lakas ng Dell Precison ko kahit lower ang spec nya compared sa mas bagong alienware. 

Sometimes tumitingin tayo sa physical looks ng PC or Laptop, If devoted for work, I admit, mas maganda pa rin ang desktop, hindi yan matumtumbasan ng laptop kahit gaano man sya kamahal.. pero kung pang porma, pwede na yang Gaming Laptop, for sure matunog ang pangalan meron ka nyan. 

Be wise na lang sa choices mo. If you think you have good deal naman sa bibilhin mo, if not xeon, at least i7  and if not quadro then at least 2GB na Graphic Card. 8-16 GB na memory.

Mainly sa rendering ko gagamitin yung laptop for some sidelines here in abroad.

Yun po bang Dell precision eh maganda din ba sya sa modeling? Nagbasa basa ako sa internet eh mas maganda nga daw po yung mga workstation laptop for rendering than the gaming laptop. Yun nga lang po may kamahalan din pala yung quadro GPU compare sa gtx.

Maganda nga sana yung desktop kaso wala pang sariling tirahan dito sa abroad eh, palipat lipat pa ng tirahan kaya mahirap dalhin. Hehe

Anyway, than you Sir sa mga payo. hehe. Baka po yung Asus na lang kukunin ko.

Hi Jaybin, since the forum says best loptop for 3ds Max. I just want to share this FYI.

I have an 15" Alienware 2GB gtx card and Asus X550 With GTX 960M with combined 12 GB memory.
I hate using them both, dahil na rin siguro I prefered using desktop. Nasa mindset na rin siguro dahil may option ako kung ano ang gagamitin.

Dell Precision are Workstations for Designers. The Laptop is called Dell Mobile Workstation.
Meron din HP ZBook Mobile workstation and BOXX ( they are only available in US)

As mentioned previously, if you go for rendering, kunin mo yung xeon. for sure di masasayang oras and effort mo dahil for sure 1-2% ang chances na mag-crash yung unit mo.

But i tell you, they are not cheap... ganun din naman sa gaming laptop, diba.
I will explain it in layman's term.

Ipagpalagay natin na ang Compurte ay kunwari sasakyan (transportation)

Owner Type Jeep = Assembled PC , you can costumize and you can control your budget
Laptop (low to mid range) = sedan car
Truck = Workstation
Sports Car = Gaming Laptop

Lahat sila, aabot sa pupuntahan mo. for sure, ang unang makakarating ang sports car.
pero, sabihin natin na maraming kang dalang karga, mabibigat na karga(files), aling sasakyan sa tingin mo ang aabot sa pupuntahan mo?
Para sa akin, yung track ang siguradong gamitin ko para umabot sa destination ko ng maayos" pwede rin yung jeep kung i-modify ko sya for this purpose.
I hope you see the logic. Kailangan alam mo kung saan gagamitin para di masayang ang malaking pera na pinaghahandaan mong bitawan.

One thing, please refer to autodesk website kung aling workstation ang recommended fot 3DMax.
Prior to my experience, bumili ako one time ng mid-range Dell Precision T5500 with 2GB Nvidia Quadro FX3700
only to find out na mas mabilis pa pala yung Entry Level Dell Precision T3500 with Nvidia Quadro FX570 with 512MB.
The reason, T5500 was not recommended by Autodest..

Just to avoid regret, just buy consider intel chip with good graphic card ang 8-16GB of memory. sinceara sa work mo, OK lang na medyo mahal, may ROI (return of investment) naman diba?
