Re: Condo Lobby _ Update
RATING based on a 100pt sore system that I am testing out to make it easier for people who are busy and don't have much rime to leave a comment that at least shows what area of the rendering is good or not so good.
100pts breakdown
20% = modeling (M)
25% = texturing and materials (T)
25% = lighting (L)
10% = entourage (E)
10% = composition and story (CS)
10% = x-factor or overall wow effect (X)
Multiply this total by the degree of difficulty (0.9 being the simplest model and 1.0 being the hardest/more complex scenes)
So for this rendering:
M = 20
T = 23
L = 24
E = 9
C = 10
X = 10
SUB-TOTAL = 96
Degree of Difficulty = .95
TOTAL SCORE = 91.2
0 - 25 pts = very poor
26 - 50 pts = poor
51 - 65 pts = average
66 - 80 pts = good
81 - 90 pts = very good
91 - 100 pts = excellent
To all those confused about the numerical scoring, its just an idea to pass along C&C without any personal attachment or subjective tone. A number is a number, it does not say "panget" or "hayop sa galing" but is just a number void of any emotion and is more measurable than an emotional comment like "galing" or "hanep". I would assume people in this forum would be mature enough to appreciate a straight forward analysis such as this once they place "C&C welcome" in their post and not get offended by the lack of patronization, or am I being too optimistic?

sir jay, pasensya ha OT lang ako saglit.. hehehe..
sorry sir LWF pero mahina ako sa math eh, and i think this pts thing is to time consuming, might just as well tell whats wrong and suggest how to improve it directly, not just leave a score and left the guy hanging..

actually the points thing is very fast using cut and paste. i just change the numbers.
as for making detailed comments on renderings, please have mercy, that's what i do every day (that is actually true, i sort of manage multiple CG teams). anyway i will try my best to give more detailed comments when i have more time.
sidenote, the image above has very little flaws, the only thing that kept it from getting really, really high score is the degree of difficulty. the model is very good but not hard to build. there are not enough custom models that are intricate to warrant a higher difficulty rating.

Re: Condo Lobby _ Update
hey jay, lighting is spot on.... very neat eye candy....
little OT
@ LWF
you're points system looks good on my monitor it's so technical but i doesnt really cover how the the TS got his hi & lows.. a straight forward CnC (IMHO) with little bits of hints on how to improve the visual will be much appreciated..

Re: Condo Lobby _ Update
I hope makatulong and c&c ko. good luck!!
