dude first of all bawal ang caps lock d2...and welcome to cgp!

your visuals need some improvement so stick around and you'll find a lot of things
to better your output.

what I can tell you right now is try and look for ways to put some depth on them...
you can adjust the shadow parameters for example...good luck dude!

good start with the model part..I am not really a mental ray user, but from the looks of it, you need to control your lighting, and also your exposure control. Try to get a balance of both, by pressing 8 on your keyboard. This will open the environment and effects dialog box. Look for the Exposure Control parameters, and choose Logarithmic exposure control (correct me of if i am wrong masters of mental ray), and from there tweak your brightness and contrast values.

Right now the images are washed out, most specially your interior image. But there is nothing that a valuable amount of practice can't solve.

Good luck and please do update this one, if you can, just post the updated iimages under the current posted image, so we can see the difference.

welcome welcome darrelljay sa cgp,ako maraming alam sa mental ray galing ako dito before switching sa v-ray,first of all nice try doing this exterior and interior part i will comment on interior one,kse interiors ako eh,architectural ba ang gamit mong mapping? if yes...

hope i could help thumbsup

Not bad for starters. I haven't tried Mental ray before so I cannot help you on that nevertheless I can give comments on your rendering.

I can say you have a keen eye on the angles taking a right position. The exterior is fine but you can crop a little bit on one side, don't show much on the structures that is not on the scope. A portrait frame is better on this.

For your interior, I like the view as well. It seems that you are not a starter on this aside from the bare rendering. You still have to improve on lighting.

Have you tried Vray? Majority here use that, they easily gives you pointers...try it.

All the best.. Very Happy

Radiosity is another way of rendering(Radiosity Basic Tutorial). Press F10, you will see there on the upper portion. I advise you not to shift on that, better go ahead with Vray. Wink
