Central Market Site Selection

Good day CGP!

I hope some of you guys know kung saan po mayroong "need" ng central market, currently we proposed a central market in Antipolo pero meron na daw po silang under construction na market... malaki din po kasi ang kakulangan sa design ng mga Palengke natin, kaya gusto ko po mag propose ng innovative market design... Pls help po and thanks in advance po!

Good Day po ulit CGPips, pasensya na po kung medyo awkward yung paghingi ko ng tulong sa site selection, hehe medyo wala po ako sa sarili noon..

Anyways,
Basically ang market daw po ay ang link ng PRODUCTION (rural areas) at ng CONSUMPTION (urban areas) where market serves as distributor ng produce...
ang plan ko po dito sa wet and dry market bukod sa proper circulation ng deliveries at ng disposal ay yung pagiging multi level at mall-like nito... market na may friendly environment through open spaces...
sa ngayon po we are conducting a survey para malaman yung mga flaws ng existing markets at yung mga internal problems na hindi madaling mapansin...

Another idea po is a "Self producing Market".... naisip ko po ngayon lang, na wastes from the market (nabubulok) can be circulated in the process of farming or cultivation... where the actual production of goods ay nagmumula mismo sa market?... ganon po ang idea, parang mas direct ung link ng producer sa consumer..... >.<

Site selection is one of the basic requirement na dapat ikaw ang naghahanap. Mas magandang mapag-aralan mo ang site at usually madederive mo yan pag merong problem ang community or town.

Maganda ang idea mo ng multi-level. Best example is the divisoria mall. Why not study divisoria as you marketplace. isang successful example ang divisoria sa tinatawag na makeshift street market. Pansinin mo, walang physical na marketplace, sa kalye lang, pero isa itong bagsakan ng farm to market goods. very weird setup but very successful.

Kung hindi mo ito kayang gawan, gawin mong inspiration instead.

Another perfect example is the Balintawak Market. Saktong tumbok sya ng NLEX. Dun binabagsak para idistribute sa metro manila.

So far, wala akong masuggest na location, pero using your criteria, I'm sure makakahanap ka nyan.

opo, naliwanagan na ko about sa site selection ko, kasalukuyan na po akong nag SWOT analysis... itong divisoria po talaga ang naging basehan ko na pwede ang gantong proposal, pero may mga internal affairs sa divisoria na hindi ko pa po naiintindihan, hehe... isa pa po ay yung greenhills shopping center...

titingnan ko rin po itong balintawak market...stratigic po talaga ang site..
