CEILING CONCEALED AC DUCTING

Anyone who had experience installing this type of unit? The problem is the ducting, I have to cross a beam, I'd like to know what's the minimum diameter of pipe sleeve i could use (I had no other options)or rectangular opening dimensions. I have a clear 500mm under slab>proposed ceiling clear opening,beam height is @500mm.Thanks in advance.

Seek the advice of the structural engineer. We experienced the same but the SE is only allowing 150 mm dia pipe sleeve max. , beam depth is 600mm.

how about split type acu na lang? sa isang project namin hindi pinayagan mag sleeve ng 6" dia.

Last resort ko yan pag wala na talaga.Tignan ko muna kung payagan ng structural engineer yung 6"dia.

Gaano kalaki ba ito bro? usually kasi ang main duct nasa isang side tapos may mga branches lang papunta sa other side.

Hindi advisable ang sleeves dito, para lang sa electrical yun at maliliit lang.

You should do everything below the bottom of the beam. at least 800mm ka dyan sa main duct.

isang option is split type na upright 3 tonner. other option is drop ceiling sa mismong duct lang, the rest ay exposed.

Can you do a quick sketch of the space bro. Kung maliit lang naman ang room, ilagay mo lang yung return sa kabila but make sure you leave at least 150mm clear space along the beam. Naka-cast na ba? Baka pwedeng horizontal beam or upstand beam.

Depende sa location, number at depth ng beam.

Hindi maganda pero you may also want to consider casette type ACU.
