help export 3d autocad to 3ds max

how to export my 3d auotcad to 3ds max , i need the good way for this exportation to make some modification with edit poly in max like connect edge extrude etc.....
i import my project 3d auto cad this forma dwg in 3ds max but i find some trouble with edit poly in 3ds max

try to reference your dwg files using file link manager... just adjust few setting, and make sure you use proper layering to your dwg files (layering make easy for you inside 3dmax for applying texture)... all instructions are self explanatory...

1 benefit of file link manager:

1. if you are much familiar using autocad in 3D modeling you can modify it using autocad, just hit reload to the file link manager...
