sakit ko din eto from beginning, kaso medyo nasanay na tayo sa tsamba effect, kaya usually lahat dinadaan na sa post process sa photochop..dami reason why, here's some points...

- matte panels vs. glossy panels (more vivid colors, i may say "buffed" colour)

- viewing angle (vertical and horizontal angle from viewer's angle vs. monitor) and ambient condition (dark rooms vs. lighted rooms)

- LCD features for different brand; the so-called bragging rights.. (ex. samsung's magic tune, acer's e-color, etc..)

- gamma calibration of CRT and LCD monitors, CRT and LCD have different gamma value and that's why CRT is more vivid colors that most LCD, specially compare old LCD models. (wiki's gamma correction)

- hardware calibration (spyder data color) essential for our work, but not cheap Sad

- software calibration (Adobe Gamma), X-rite color checker, etc... Adobe Gamma is par upon installing Photoshop, not sure duh.

- the vray and 3dsmax gamma 2.2 LWF..

----

for 24" LCD recommendation, here's some fresh electronics i've found in the web Smile

- Dell TrueColorTM E248WFP and Dell UltraSharpTM 2408WFP
- Samsung T240 - aka. Red Series, LCD all in one, tv, movies, hdmi PS3 and bluray, via sateliteTV, i want this What a Face
- Viewsonic VP2250wb - Pro series
- Benq G2220HD / G2220HDA - 40,000:1 Dynamic Contrast!, this might be movie addict's delight
