The Golden Ratio
This is kinda random topic that doesn't actually link to other topics discussed in here but getting straight to the point, what is the ideal proportion and real proportion in architecture? I keep on researching for this thing but couldn't find a concrete answer for it.

Re: The Golden Ratio
1 : 0.618
In architectural layman's terms, if your building's width is 1, your building's height could be 0.618 to follow this Golden Ratio. Moreover, if your building's height is 1, the height of your door could be 0.618.
This ratio (AKA The Fibonacci Number Sequence) is also used by most graphic designers, mostly when designing logos.

What do you mean to say by "real proportion"? I'm not getting your drift.
The Golden Ratio is the ideal proportion mainly because it LOOKS right. Can't really explain why.
Re: The Golden Ratio
Actually this was asked to me by my uncle when he read it once while he was still back in college, obviously I wasn't able to answer it so he told me to search for it because it is a basic knowledge for an architecture student.
I tried to look it up in the internet but couldn't find an answer.
By the way thank you for responding and sorry for the trouble.
