thesis.

nasa thesis na po ako ngayon, and i need some advise. im planning to propose a mental hospital, taga capiz po ako. im a bit worried about sa site ko po. kasi wala pa po akong idea sa selection nito. gusto ko lang po mag ask kung ano ang ideal site para sa mental hospital?

good day sir, IMHO po, maganda po ito kung gusto ninyo talaga ang proposal nyo, medyo critical po kasi ang mental hospital at rehabilitaion... madaming dapat iconsider, pero ang maiaadvise ko po sa inyo ay pagaralan ang HISTORY ng mental hospital, bakit nagkaroon ng ganto, para saan ba talaga ito, ano-ano ang sakop nito...

sa school po kasi namin ay hindi na po inencourage ang pag take ng ganitong proposal dahil nitong nakaraang deliberation namin ay nakitang maraming critical factors at consideration...
pero anyways, kung gusto nyo po talaga itong proposal ay sa tingin ko naman ay masosolve nyo po ang mga problema... goodluck po satin!

as far as i know mental hospitals belong to the "unwanted" type of institutions sa isang area. kasama doon ang mga jails, piggery etc. magkakatalo na lang sa diskarte o concept mo if you want your hospital to be a "wanted" part ng isang area.

Sa mga ganitong thesis, very important ang research. Once you know what you are dealing with, you will find the answer right away.

Dun sa mga naresearch mo, dun mo makikita ang problem, now ang thesis is solving that problem. Kung wala naman problem, wala din thesis.

Meron guidelines ang DOH sa ganyan for sure. You can get that sa local DOH Center nyo. But beyond the guidelines, one should know kung ano pa ang pwedeng gawin in order to achieve something new sa thesis. If not, it will be just another project done by another architect. I'm not sure if this is your goal.

To sum this all up. No matter what topic you're gonna get, always know the problem, then answer the problem. If you do that, you'll gonna be a good architect. Good luck!
