Command: _qsave
Document "D:\-------\-------\02032012\-------_Wall_Details_02032012.dwg" has
a command in progress.
Hit enter to cancel or [Retry]: *Cancel*

after pressing ESC and moving in to another command such as lines and other stuff, all is well, however still cannot save the drawing.. any reply will be much appreciated. Thanks..

Oooppss... I solved my own issue.. anyways here is the solution.. hope this helps anyone who encounters this..

"Command in progress message while saving a drawing"

Issue

When you tried to save a drawing, you received the following command line message:

Document ":\\.dwg" has a command in progress.
Hit enter to cancel or [Retry]:

Solution

This issue can occur after you merge cells in an AutoCAD table using the "By Row" or "By Column" options on the Table toolbar.

At this point, the only way to continue is to re-save the drawing. Follow these steps:

At the command prompt, enter Save.
When you are prompted to replace the existing drawing, click Yes.
Close, and then open the drawing.
To prevent this issue from ocurring again, table cells should be merged using the All option on either the Table toolbar or the shortcut menu.

i've experienced it couple of times before in different circumstances, but i think its not because of the table. i merge cells sometimes if i use tables but i cant remember it occuring at those instances. i havent realized yet what causes this but yes, saveas solves it. anyway, request lang sir ej, can you do it in a new dwg file if it will happen again?
